I just saw Vitalik's post about the development of Account Abstraction, which is quite interesting. So far, Ethereum has been discussing AA since 2016, and now there's a proposal called EIP-8141 that is said to solve all remaining issues related to this within about a year.

What’s interesting about this EIP is the transaction framing concept. Basically, one transaction can include N calls that can read each other's data, then authorize the sender and pay for gas. This mechanism opens up many possibilities:

First, for regular accounts like multi-signature or variable keys, it can be handled through verification and execution framing. Second, gas payments using tokens other than ETH can be done directly without intermediaries. Third, for privacy protocols, it can be achieved with ZK-SNARK verification or a two-dimensional nonce system.

From a security perspective, this EIP-8141 is quite solid. On the blockchain level, transactions are only valid if the verification frame returns ACCEPT with a gas payment signature. At the mempool level, the rules will be conservative at first and then gradually evolve.

Vitalik also mentioned that this proposal is highly complementary to FOCIL. If FOCIL ensures transactions are quickly included, then AA ensures complex operations can be executed directly as first-class transactions. Compatibility with EOA is also being discussed and is fundamentally feasible.

So, in summary, after more than ten years of research, these technologies are expected to be implemented through the Hegota hard fork within a year. If successful, this will be a game changer for user experience on Ethereum. Who wouldn’t want more flexible and secure transactions like this?
