Over the past two days, the group chat has started getting spammed again, and KOLs are also there shouting “opportunities are here.” To put it simply, when people are overloaded with information, they’re most likely to mistake “someone is shouting” for “I should buy.” But if I’m really going to make an impulsive purchase, I still think it ultimately comes down to me… Group chat messages are just noise at most; KOLs mainly provide an emotional spark—while it’s on us to press the buttons.

The reason I can stay calm is mostly a down-to-earth workaround: the moment I feel like placing an order, I first check two things—where the money for this comes from, and what the exit plan looks like. Especially when it involves cross-chain bridges, I go over the historical incidents, the audits, and the permission structure first, and then my hand isn’t so itchy to act. Lately, haven’t people been talking about adding taxes in a certain region, with compliance tightening and then loosening again? Once the expectations for deposits and withdrawals shift, emotions are even easier to get carried away… In any case, I’d rather lag by half a beat than swallow the risks because of someone else’s loud call.
