The Solana Foundation stated that its ecosystem has conducted long-term research on the potential threats of quantum computing and has developed a post-quantum migration plan. After independent research, both Anza and Jump Crypto chose the post-quantum digital signature scheme Falcon and completed initial implementations. This scheme is characterized by short signature lengths and suitability for high-throughput blockchains. Solana indicated that no protocol changes are currently necessary, but if breakthroughs in quantum computing occur, upgrades can be completed according to the established plan.
