Microsoft Shares Fall After OpenAI Ends Azure Exclusivity in Revised Partnership

Microsoft shares fell as much as 5% intraday after Sam Altman said OpenAI updated its partnership with Microsoft and ended Azure cloud exclusivity. Altman said Microsoft remains OpenAI’s primary cloud partner, but OpenAI can now offer products through Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Oracle, and other providers.
