I've noticed that more and more people are interested in projects at the intersection of blockchain and AI. Recently, I delved into SingularityNET and want to share what's happening there.

Basically, it's a decentralized protocol where developers can publish their AI services and APIs, and users can purchase them. It sounds simple, but the idea is interesting—a open ecosystem without reliance on a single provider. The AGIX cryptocurrency is the main token of the platform, and the entire economy is built around it.

How does this work in practice? A developer creates an AI model, registers it on the platform as a service, and sets a price in AGIX. Users pay with tokens and gain access to the API. Everything is transparent, all on the blockchain. The platform uses the concept of artificial general intelligence to create a self-sustaining system. Honestly, it's ambitious.

Regarding tokenomics: AGIX cryptocurrency is not just a speculative asset. It is needed for network governance, staking, and paying for services. Fixed supply, staking rewards for holders, gradual release of tokens for developers and the community. A typical scheme for decentralized projects, but executed neatly.

The main advantages I see are: it’s truly an open platform where anyone can publish their AI service. No central controller deciding what is permissible and what isn’t. Innovation and collaboration are encouraged. Transactions are secure thanks to blockchain, and all data is transparent.

But there are also risks that are worth honestly considering. Competition is fierce—centralized AI platforms like OpenAI have a huge lead in resources and popularity. Implementing a decentralized solution is always more complex than it seems. And regulatory uncertainty—it's unclear how governments will treat the decentralized AI service market.

People often ask, is this blockchain or just a token? In reality, it’s a blockchain marketplace protocol, and AGIX cryptocurrency is its tool, not an end in itself. That’s an important distinction.

Overall, an interesting project, but not without challenges. If you believe in the future of decentralized AI, it’s worth watching how they address scaling and adoption issues. You can track the price dynamics on Gate if you're interested.
