BlockBeats news, April 27, according to Reuters, Washington reporter Andy Sullivan said the black-tie banquet dinner shooting incident took place in a hotel’s underground banquet hall. During the event, people could still use the hotel facilities normally, such as checking in and calling a taxi, and the suspect said this was a “crazy security loophole.”

White House reporter Jacob Bogage said: “The hotel entrance and the back door added some facilities to ensure the safety of officials coming in and out. Security checks are sometimes lax and sometimes strict. At the time, my invitation was in an envelope. I just showed one person the back of the envelope, and he let me through. On another occasion, I took the invitation out and waved it around—that could have been anything. In fact, no one really saw the invitation clearly, and I was still allowed in.”
