Just saw that the official Worldcoin announced an important update: the WLD unlock schedule will be adjusted. Starting at the end of July, the daily unlock amount will significantly decrease, from the current 5.1 million tokens to about 2.9 million tokens, nearly halving.
Specifically, the community token's daily unlock will drop from 3.2 million to 1.6 million, a 50% decrease; the portion for the team and investors will decrease from 1.9 million to 1.3 million, a 32% drop. The unlock method will still be a daily even release, with no single-day spike.
Currently, WLD has already unlocked 4.9 billion tokens, about half of the total supply of 1B, with approximately 3.3 billion in circulation. This adjustment should help with the long-term supply outlook of Worldcoin, reducing the daily selling pressure. It's worth paying attention to the market reaction moving forward.
