People born in China in the 1990s (born between 1990 and 1999) have a total birth population of about 208.5 million. Now, the number of people still living is about 184–188 million (2020 census data). This is indeed a decrease of about 24 million, mainly due to natural attrition and statistical differences~

This is truly real data~
Globally, the total birth population of those born in the 1990s (born 1990–1999) is about 1.3–1.4 billion. In this age group, the mortality rate is extremely low (war, disease, accidents, etc.), and the survival rate is about 95%+; the current population is estimated to be around 1.2–1.25 billion.
