Circle's share price has recently made a significant jump. It increased by 9.7% in a single day on Monday and has seen a total increase of 86% over the past month. There are actually several factors behind this. On one hand, due to tensions with Iran, oil prices have risen sharply in recent months, which has increased inflation expectations. Higher interest rates create a favorable environment for stable currencies because they can earn more income than dollar assets. But I think the main factor is on the trader side. Apparently, large funds have aggressively accumulated short positions before the earnings announcement. These short sellers were squeezed in anticipation of the company's strong quarterly results. Currently, about 13% of the circulating shares are held as short positions. I can say that traders acting out of greed were quite affected by this rally. In conclusion, a nice combination of macroeconomic factors and market mechanics triggered this sudden rise.
