Iranian officials say nuclear issues are not open for negotiation

Golden Finance reports that on April 27, Iran’s Islamic Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Ibrahim Azizi stated in an interview broadcast on April 26 that Iran has no intention of negotiating with the United States, especially on nuclear issues — because Iran firmly believes it has the right to uranium enrichment, and Iran’s uranium enrichment activities must be recognized as a fait accompli. He explained that even if Iran hands over more than 400 kilograms of enriched uranium as demanded by the U.S., the problem will not be resolved, and the U.S. will only escalate its actions. He emphasized that Iran’s victory is “precisely because of our resistance, our firm stance, and our prevention of the U.S. overstepping.” (Dongxin News Agency)
