I just saw that the US PCE release time has been announced, and the December core PCE price index reached 2.9%, up a little from the previous month's 2.8%. To be honest, this indicator has a pretty significant impact on the Federal Reserve's policy because they mainly look at this to determine whether inflation is truly cooling down. The core PCE is the Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index, calculated by the Department of Commerce, and it was officially adopted as an important indicator by the Federal Reserve only in 2002. Anyway, whenever this kind of US PCE data is released, the market usually reacts a bit. What do you think of this number?
