I just found out that Logan Paul finally auctioned off that Pikachu Illustrator card on Goldin Auctions recently. Honestly, the numbers are mind-blowing; it went for way more than I expected. It turns out he had already broken a Guinness World Record with that same card a while ago when he sold it for $5.3 million, but this time, the January auction reached even crazier figures.

The interesting part is that Logan Paul put in $2.5 million as a down payment, and everything was streamed on that Netflix show about collectors. Goldin estimated it could reach between $7 million and $12 million, so we're basically talking about figures that seem straight out of a movie. The 30th anniversary of Pokémon definitely helped boost the collectible market into full hype mode.

Honestly, seeing someone spend that much money on a trading card is wild, although I guess for elite collectors, it's like investing in art. Do you think these cards will keep going up, or will the market eventually become saturated?
