Odaily Planet Daily reported that, according to the Axios news website in the United States on the 26th, one American official and two informed sources stated that the U.S. has received a new negotiation plan passed through Pakistan by Iran.
The new Iranian negotiation plan reported by Axios is roughly similar to the three-phase negotiation framework disclosed earlier by Lebanon’s “Square” TV station.
The three phases of negotiations focus sequentially on ending the war, the Strait of Hormuz issues, and nuclear talks.
Axios cited two sources as saying that the new Iranian negotiation plan first focuses on resolving the Hormuz Strait crisis and U.S. sanctions blockade issues.
As part of this plan, a ceasefire will be extended long-term or the parties will agree to permanently end hostilities.
Nuclear negotiations will only begin after the Strait of Hormuz is reopened and U.S. sanctions are lifted. (Xinhua)
