Abstract generation in progress

On April 26, Trina Solar’s National Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Science and Technology announced that its independently developed new THBC hybrid passivated back-contact cell (TOPCon-compatible Hybrid Back-contact Cell) has received authoritative certification from Germany’s Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH), achieving a maximum conversion efficiency of 28.00%. This achievement marks the industry’s first breakthrough in overcoming the 28.0% efficiency bottleneck on large-area 210R cells, setting a new high for crystalline silicon cell efficiency.

At present, Trina Solar is accelerating the promotion and leading the industrialization of THBC modules based on its already-built THBC pilot production line. It is expected that industry-standard format modules (2382mm*1134mm)) will deliver power output of over 700W. It is reported that Trina Solar’s next-generation products based on THBC technology will be released soon. (People’s Financial News)
