Powell Nears Final FOMC as Warsh Inherits 3.50%–3.75% Rates and 3.3% Inflation

Jerome Powell is set to chair his final FOMC press conference on Wednesday with the federal funds target at 3.50%–3.75% and headline inflation at 3.3%. Kevin Warsh, Trump’s pick to succeed him, would inherit a $6.7 trillion balance sheet, firmer inflation pressure, and a crypto market that has tracked Fed liquidity closely.
