On the 22nd, the reporter learned from the State Post Bureau that in the first quarter, the total volume of postal delivery services in China reached 51.9 billion items, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. Among them, the volume of express delivery services reached 47.73 billion items, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%. The State Post Bureau announced the operational status of the postal industry on the same day. In the first quarter, the postal industry’s operating revenue totaled 157.29 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%. Among them, the revenue from express delivery services reached 130.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%.
In terms of service types, in the first quarter, the volume of same-city express delivery services reached 3.35 billion items, a decrease of 7.3% year-on-year; the volume of inter-city express delivery services reached 43.34 billion items, an increase of 7%; the volume of international/Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan express delivery services reached 1.04 billion items, an increase of 1.7%.
