On April 26, U.S. President Donald Trump attended two controversial events within 24 hours. During the day, he had a luncheon with TRUMP token holders at Mar-a-Lago in Florida; in the evening, he returned to Washington to attend the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner, where he was urgently evacuated after a shooting incident before he took the stage. Before the TRUMP token luncheon, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren and others jointly called on Congress to investigate whether the Trump family profited from crypto projects. The Trump family charges a fee from each TRUMP token transaction, but the token’s price is down more than 95% from its 2025 peak; it briefly fell below $3 in early April. At the luncheon, Trump warned the banking industry not to obstruct crypto legislation, saying, “The White House will not let banks destroy…”
