Michael Burry, the investor made famous by The Big Short, is once again taking a bearish position on parts of the artificial intelligence boom.
His latest warnings focus on AI valuations, massive infrastructure spending and whether the enormous capital flowing into the sector can eventually generate sufficient returns.

The U.S. labor market has delivered a major surprise, and the latest Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report is forcing traders to rethink the Federal Reserve’s next move. July payrolls unexpectedly fell by 23,000, while economists had been expecting a meaningful increase. Even more importantly, previous months were revised down by a combined 103,000 jobs, painting a much weaker picture of the labor market than earlier data suggested.
This was not the kind of jobs report markets were expecting. The unemployment rate actually edged down to 4.1%, but the headline payroll declin

$MUU LONG SETUP — I’m interested, but only if the pullback gives me the entry I want.
Looking at the 30m chart, $MUU has actually built a pretty decent short-term recovery structure. The important part for me isn’t the +3.39% shown on the screen. It’s what happened underneath that move.
Price first dropped toward 24.66, found buyers, started making higher lows, reclaimed the 25.90–26.00 area, and then accelerated toward 27.21. That tells me buyers have been willing to step in at increasingly higher prices.
But there’s one problem with buying at 26.86 right now: 27.21 is sitting directly above
