#GateQ3ReportReleased Gate Q3 Report Released, What Does It Reveal About the Future of Crypto Trading
Gate has released its Q3 report, bringing fresh attention to the platform’s progress, ecosystem development, and long term direction in the rapidly evolving digital asset industry. Quarterly reports are more than a collection of numbers. They offer an opportunity to understand how an exchange is developing, how its ecosystem is expanding, and what its priorities may mean for traders, investors, and content creators.
For the crypto community, every quarter provides a new perspective on market p

#Gate第三季度报告出炉 Gate’s Q3 Growth Story Goes Beyond Trading Volume
The most interesting part of Gate’s Q3 2026 report, released on October 22, is not one headline number. It is the way several different businesses are developing together: derivatives trading, global stocks and ETFs, wealth management, on-chain products and payment services.
That combination matters. A trading platform can attract activity when markets are moving, but building a broader financial ecosystem means giving users more reasons to stay between trades as well. Gate’s latest figures offer a clearer view of how that transition is progressing.
Start with the numbers that stand out.
Derivatives remained a major growth engine. September trading volume reached approximately $396 billion, placing Gate among the world’s top three centralized exchanges for derivatives by the reported industry ranking. CoinDesk’s September exchange review put the figure at $396.4 billion, up 38.2% month over month. Gate’s derivatives market share reached 10.1%, gaining approximately 1.6 percentage points the largest increase among leading exchanges in that review.
Spot activity also contributed to the picture. September spot trading volume reached $48.8 billion, up 21.9% month over month according to the same review. The takeaway is not simply that more contracts changed hands; both spot and derivatives activity showed momentum across the month.
Still, trading volume is only one measure of platform growth. The more revealing question is whether that activity is being matched by stronger products and a wider range of services.
Global markets are becoming a bigger part of the story.
By the end of Q3, Gate’s stock and ETF coverage had expanded beyond 12,800 instruments across U.S., Hong Kong, South Korean and Japanese markets. The reported coverage included more than 10,000 U.S. stocks, 1,500 Hong Kong stocks, 1,000 South Korean stocks and 300 Japanese stocks.
That broader selection gives users access to more than crypto-focused opportunities. Gate’s traditional-finance offering also includes CFDs across stocks, indices, metals, foreign exchange and energy, while gStocks extends the platform’s tokenized-stock offering.
One figure deserves particular attention: gStocks trading volume exceeded $2.5 billion in August. That is a substantial monthly activity figure, although it should not be confused with Q3’s total volume or the value of assets held on the platform.
For me, the strategic significance is clear. Gate is trying to connect crypto-native users with conventional markets without treating each asset class as an entirely separate experience.
Wealth management adds another dimension.
Gate’s Q3 report states that Yu'ebao assets exceeded $1.85 billion, representing growth of more than 24% compared with Q2. That is an important signal because wealth-management products serve a different purpose from active trading: they give users another way to manage eligible idle assets within the platform.
The report also highlighted strong growth in on-chain earning, with its scale increasing by more than 57% from the end of Q2. This points to demand extending beyond exchange-based trading and into on-chain asset-use opportunities.
These figures should be read carefully. Assets under management, product subscriptions and trading volume measure different things; they are not interchangeable, and growth in any of them does not guarantee future returns for users. Product terms, liquidity and risk still matter.
Other Q3 figures show the ecosystem widening.
ETF trading turnover approached 60 billion USDT for the quarter. Options trading volume increased 23.8% quarter over quarter, while the number of new options traders rose 52.1%.
CrossEx, Gate’s cross-exchange institutional trading service, also recorded a 63% increase in quarterly trading volume. Its reported asset balance grew 902%, while the number of trading users increased by approximately 315%. These are notable growth rates, although the report does not mean every metric began from the same base or carries the same operational significance.
Alongside these businesses, Gate continued developing Launchpool, CandyDrop, trading bots, copy trading, Perp DEX, Gate Layer, Gate Card and Gate.AI. Together, these products extend the platform across trading, asset management, payments, blockchain infrastructure and market research.
Growth also has to be supported by trust.
The report cites August reserves of approximately $8.215 billion and an overall reserve coverage ratio of 127%. These are important transparency indicators, but they relate to the reported reserve snapshot—not a guarantee against every possible operational, market or counterparty risk. Users should continue reviewing the platform’s current disclosures and the risks attached to individual products.
My view is that Gate’s Q3 report is best understood as a transition story. The $396 billion-plus derivatives figure demonstrates trading scale; the 12,800-plus stock and ETF selection shows wider market access; and the growth in Yu'ebao and on-chain earning shows that asset management is becoming a more meaningful part of the product mix.
The next challenge is execution. Can Gate sustain trading activity while improving the everyday usefulness of its multi-asset services? Can product expansion translate into reliable access, clear risk disclosures and a consistent user experience across different markets?
Those questions matter more than any single quarterly headline. Q3 provides evidence of broader reach and strong activity across several business lines. The next milestone will be proving that this breadth can develop into a durable, integrated financial ecosystem.

In times like this it's better to wait for a cleaner picture before taking action; which is hard for many to do.

#MetaEarningsBeatExpectations #WCTCS9 One detail I care about from Meta's Q3: the 10% and 14% behind the 26%
Meta reported Q3 results after the close on Wednesday, and the headline is easy: revenue rose 26% to $64.601 billion. The question was to pick one detail and explain why, so mine is the split inside the ad business. Here is the reasoning, plus the numbers around it.
The detail
Advertising revenue of $63.061 billion rose 26%, with ad impressions up 10% and the average price per ad up 14%. By my math, 1.10 times 1.14 gives about 25.4%, which lines up with the reported 26%. That tells me g

That tells me growth came from two sources at once: more ads shown and a higher price for each one.
Why this matters more to me than the headline
Revenue growth alone can hide weak quality. If growth had come only from more impressions, it could point to more ad load and lower pricing. If it had come only from price, it could signal a squeeze on advertisers. Here, both rose, and the price gain was larger than the volume gain. That is the pattern of strong demand, and it is the kind of growth that can fund heavy investment.
The numbers around it
- Revenue: $64.60 billion against $63.37 billion expected.
- EPS: $3.83 against a $3.57 consensus.
- Adjusted EPS: $7.40, excluding a $9.89 billion litigation charge.
- Operating income: $12.988 billion, down 37%.
- Reality Labs: revenue of $443 million, down 6% on lower Quest headset sales, partly offset by growth in AI glasses.
My read on earnings quality
The legal charge is the reason GAAP profit looks weak. It cut the operating margin roughly in half. By my arithmetic, the operating margin was about 20%, and the $9.89 billion charge equals roughly 15% of quarterly revenue. Stripping it out lifts EPS by $3.57. One-time items distort a single quarter, so I read the ad data first and the legal charge second.
The spending side
This is where the risk sits. Capital expenditures reached $34.9 billion, and full-year guidance was adjusted to $135 billion to $145 billion from $130 billion to $145 billion. Analysts had expected about $138.27 billion. By my calculation, Q3 capex equals about 54% of revenue. That is a heavy ratio, which is why the ad pricing matters: pricing power is the cushion for the spending.
The forward guide
Meta expects fourth-quarter revenue of $73 billion to $76 billion. At the midpoint of $74.5 billion, that is about 15% above Q3 by my math. The guidance also assumes about a 1% currency headwind. On the product side, Zuckerberg highlighted the launch of Muse and Muse Wonder, the company's first frontier model. Whether AI features lift engagement and ad performance is the part to track in the next quarters.
Corporate action
Management announced a new nonvoting Class C stock and a 2-for-1 stock split expected to begin trading in late January. A split does not change the business, but it can widen retail access.
The market reaction
META traded at $733.18 in after-hours trading, up 5.11%. That implies a regular close near $697.50 by my math. The market cap is about $1.77 trillion, and the stock is up 5.67% year to date. One technical read had pointed to $694 as the support to defend, which sits just under Wednesday's close. The market chose to focus on revenue and AI traction over the legal and spending headlines.
Which of the three matters most
Revenue growth, earnings or guidance? My ranking:
1. Revenue quality, meaning the volume and price split.
2. Forward guidance, because it tests whether pricing holds.
3. Earnings, because the legal charge makes this quarter's GAAP figure less useful.
Has my plan changed
Only slightly. The ad data supports the thesis that Meta can fund its AI spending, so I am less worried about the capex number than before. But a stock up 5% in after-hours has priced in some of the good news, so I would not chase the open. I would watch whether the price holds above Wednesday's close near $697 to $700, and whether the first support near $694 stays intact.
The cross-market link
AI-linked stocks are recovering. The Nasdaq rose more than 1% on Wednesday, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up nearly 2% and SpaceX up nearly 8% after its results. BTC is near $82,777. When big technology earnings calm AI-spending fears, risk appetite tends to improve across assets, including crypto.
