$TA 's wick was brutal: it swept down to 0.0830 and then snapped right back to 0.0975, with bloodied positions all across that 16-point swing. The market maker's playbook is all too familiar: first, put up fake walls to suppress the price and create panic; then, when liquidity was thinnest in the early hours, slam it through the 0.0850 stop-loss cluster with one large order. On-chain data shows nearly $4 million in long positions were liquidated in those ten minutes, before they flipped and placed three layers of iceberg orders in the 0.0845-0.0860 range to scoop up tokens. Is the question "Are there funds in the vault?" still sufficient?

While the question of whether there are enough funds in the vault has been asked of cryptocurrency exchanges for years, the true critical point lies elsewhere: are those funds held in a wallet vulnerable to online attacks, or in a physically isolated vault?

A series of security breaches and losses amounting to millions of dollars across the industry has painfully demonstrated that the concept of "Proof of Reserves" is not enough on its own. This is because Proof of Reserves merely verifies the balance between the ledger and th
Dr.Han
Recently, a series of thefts have occurred across the industry. Every security incident affects not just one company, but everyone’s trust in the crypto industry.

It also reminds me of why we started working on Proof of Reserves (PoR) in 2020. The idea was simple: if users entrust their assets to an exchange for safekeeping, they have the right to know whether those assets are fully backed. Trust isn’t about believing promises; it requires verifiable evidence.

Over time, PoR was adopted by more and more exchanges and became a very important part of the industry’s security framework.

When change happens, it can look like just an experiment. Only in hindsight do we realize that it has gradually become an industry consensus.

Over the past few years, we have consistently made platform security and user funds our top priorities, continually optimizing and improving our exchange security measures. But these recent incidents have made me realize that Proof of Reserves alone is not enough for an exchange.

PoR can tell users whether an exchange has sufficient asset reserves, but it doesn’t answer another equally important question: how exactly are those assets stored? No exchange can promise that it faces no risk of theft, but how much of its assets are in cold wallets and how much in hot wallets? In the worst-case scenario, would the assets in cold storage still be enough to cover user assets? This information can be disclosed to users transparently; the industry just doesn’t yet have a public, unified measurement standard.

So today, Gate launched Proof of Security (PoSEC). With PoSEC, users no longer have to simply take an exchange’s word that “assets are safe.” They can directly view the cold storage coverage ratio, calculation methodology, and asset storage structure, with the relevant data verified through a third-party audit.

PoSEC introduces a straightforward metric: the cold storage coverage ratio. As long as this figure is at least 100%, it means that even if the assets in an exchange’s hot wallets were wiped out, the assets in cold storage would still be sufficient to cover all user assets.

Gate’s latest PoSEC cold storage coverage ratio is 104.58%.

Here, cold storage includes not only on-chain crypto assets, but also traditional off-chain assets involved in the platform’s business. For on-chain digital assets counted as cold storage, private keys are kept offline, asset transfers require multiple signatures, and transaction details are independently verified before signing. Traditional assets such as stocks and U.S. Treasuries are held by independent custodians and transferred and managed according to established authorization procedures. We are working with an independent third-party audit firm, and the report will be published on our official website once the audit is complete. We will also share more details over time.

Cold storage is important because keeping private keys offline can greatly reduce the risk of on-chain assets being exposed to online attacks. The higher the cold storage coverage ratio, the greater the safety buffer for user assets in extreme situations. This is increasingly drawing attention from regulators. Recently, South Korean regulators have also been discussing raising the required proportion of exchange assets held in cold wallets.

When Proof of Reserves went live in 2020, I had no idea how far it would go.

This time, we also hope PoSEC will become more than just a security measure at Gate and can become an industry consensus. If more platforms are willing to disclose their hot and cold wallet structures and let users verify how their assets are protected, users will have a genuine standard for comparison, and the industry’s overall security threshold will rise.

True trust should be built on public, transparent, and verifiable data.

PoSEC’s calculation methodology and cold storage standards are now public. We welcome our peers to refer to them, and all users to scrutinize them.

After $XRP Has Fallen This Far, What Really Matters Is Not Sentiment

Demand for a rebound has emerged, but I won’t call oversold conditions a bottom until the structure stops weakening. $XRP is currently priced at 1.1614, down 2.7873106219134636% over 24 hours, with an intraday low of 1.1518 and a high of 1.1969. The 1-hour and 4-hour trends are both weak, the volume ratio is 0.012999983166659875, and market participation is extremely low.

A steep decline only shows that selling pressure has occurred. It doesn’t automatically mean the price is cheap, let alone prove that buyers are actually

$ICNT Wait for it to rise a bit more, then short, guys.
The price is retesting the old high but still hasn’t decisively broken through, and if it loses momentum, it could easily get slammed back down.
So for now, prioritize looking for shorts on the sell-off moves, guys.$UAI

$PUMP & $STONK
Both approaching critical support levels. This is a defining moment for both charts.
If you're looking to buy these levels, that's perfectly fine, but risk management is essential. Be prepared to cut the position quickly if support fails.
A loss of support on $PUMP could expose price to another 25% downside before reaching any meaningful support. $STONK is potentially even more vulnerable, with significant market inefficiencies below current price that could leave the door open to a further 50% downside.
These are high-risk levels. The potential upside is there, but protecting y

#Gate股票畅聊季 AI Market Collapse + Stagflation Looming: U.S. Stocks Enter a Period of Volatility

The market is seriously misjudging the AI sector’s ability to deliver on earnings and the macroeconomic pressure from stagflation. The risk-reward profile of one-way bets on U.S. stock indexes has deteriorated sharply.

The source of this market risk lies in the long-term structural imbalance in global cross-border capital flows. Overseas funds have continued pouring into dollar assets, steadily pushing up valuation

“The Three Things I Regret Most After Years of Trading”
The things unrelated to money are what I regret most.
First: I gave three years of my life entirely to candlestick charts
During those three years, I learned nothing new, got no promotion, built no network, and never spent a full holiday with my family.
I thought I was “investing in myself,” but really, I was just waiting for an uncertain outcome.
You can earn back money you lose, but you can’t get those three years back.

U.S. stocks sold off sharply on Thursday, November 5 (UTC). The Nasdaq closed down around 5.5%, entering correction territory, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index plunged roughly 12%, with chip stocks including $NVDA and $AMD posting steep losses. Beyond profit-taking, investors are growing concerned about the pace of AI data center construction, capital spending, and future returns on investment. The key question now is whether the AI sector’s lofty growth expectations need to be repriced. Where do you think the next opportunities will emerge: chip stocks, tech giants, or other sectors?
