The U.S. Dollar Index plunged 0.83% overnight, closing at 98.83, its lowest level since mid-May.
The yuan took off in response: both the onshore and offshore yuan broke above 6.73, reaching an intraday high of 6.72, a new three-and-a-half-year high since February 2023.
