Humans evolved to focus on bad news and not on good news.
If you live in the African Savannah and you hear a noise from the nearby bush, it made evolutionary sense to assume a lion is hiding there, even if it's a low probability case.
Today, we consume 90% bad news and 10% good news. When reality maybe 50% or more of the news is good news.
The problem in the modern world, is that it's mostly safe. And being angry, fearful and hateful because of over consumption of bad news and under consumption of good news can cause medical issues in the long term.

AI will make life better, like any technology that improves productivity. Moreover, the country that win the AI race, will dominate the world.
Ask yourself why so many people in the West oppose new technologies that can make life better? Is it possible our adversaries are, at least in part, responsible for the negativity?

I think Spain should boycott World Cap, because FIFA didn't ban Israel.
(The same reason why Spain boycotted the Eurovision.)
