Ottawa has promised to maybe build Alberta a pipeline to "bribe" Albertans to vote Oprtion 1 in the referendum.
This is not the pipeline I was looking for.
I prefer a pipeline built in two years by the private sector for $5 billion, not one built in eight yearswith a taxpayer $70 billion funding.
The Liberal pipeline is expected to earn only a 2–3% annual return on our investment. Taxpayers could earn far more simply by investing in the S&P 500.
It’s better to just build data centers in Alberta, powered by natural gas. Forget BC. Okay, okay... Maybe build one pipeline south.

I voted in the Alberta referendum.
It was about 50 minutes line.

Alberta’s Oct 19 referendum isn’t really about “separation.”
It’s about whether the province with the gas, oil, and uranium will be allowed to power the AI boom—or whether Ottawa will hold us back with overregulations and high taxes.
Power is the bottleneck, not chips.
Hyperscalers are already locking in nuclear restarts and on-site gas plants. Alberta has the resources and the cold. What it doesn’t have is control.
A strong Option 2 vote doesn’t need to “win” the referendum. It just needs to give Alberta real leverage before Carney treats our oil like a bargaining chip.

Finally X figured out I'm in Canada.
After I was back from Mexico, it insisted I'm still in Mexico for ~ 2 weeks.

Alberta referendum.
I'm not arguing option 2 has a good chance to win. Most likely option 1 win.
My argument is that if many vote for option 2, it will give Alberta more laverage in negotiations with Ottawa.
i.e.
30% vote for option 2 is better than 20%.

Can any of the Status Que peopke give any guarantee that if Option 1 wins, Carney will not see it as a permission to use Alberta's oil as a weapon in the trade war, as Jean Chrétien and Rob Ford want him to?
That will devastate our provincial economy. Massive job loss. Less budget for education and healthcare.
