I think all provinces should stay in Canada if the system is a win-win.
And if the system is a win-lose to one province, then Canada needs to change to make it a win-win. And if the system can't be changed, that province should be allowed to leave.
The way to determine if staying is a win-lose is by holding a referendum.
Right now about 30% of Albertans think leaving Canada is better than staying. More are undecided. (People who believe the system don't work, but seperation is too risky)
Right now, I think two things should happen:
1. Hold a referendum withou

- Gaza: ~100–150+ children reported dead from starvation/malnutrition since Oct 2023 (mostly 2025).

The main competing ideologies in the Western world since the 19th century were freedom vs. social justice.
As we move into a post-scarcity society, I think social justice will be resolved with something like UBI.
And then, the main competing ideologies will be a strong central authority vs. distributed echo system.

Socialists are conservatives.
Socialists today oppose progress. They oppose crypto, AI, Genetic Engineering, Robotics.
They want to stop progress and maintain the current system. Which makes them not progressives, but conservatives.

China is not Communist.
It's more capitalist (lower taxes on individuals and corporations than the US.) than the US and it has more Billionaires than the US.
It was Communist during Mao. It still kept the Communist branding. But since Deng Xiaoping in 1978 it became gradually more capitalist and this is the reason for their success.

I had a discussion with a local NDP politician what cause more economic harm to Alberta. The Liberal government in Ottawa or the Separatists?
