* Decentralization: more power to local jurisdictions.
* Economic policy: Low taxes/regulations, energy sector strength, trade openness. Avoid equalization-style redistribution traps.
* Democratic accountability: independent judiciary focused on rule of law (not policy-making)
* Basic public goods: defense, courts, infrastructure, targeted safety nets.

I think all provinces should stay in Canada if the system is a win-win.
And if the system is a win-lose to one province, then Canada needs to change to make it a win-win. And if the system can't be changed, that province should be allowed to leave.
The way to determine if staying is a win-lose is by holding a referendum.
Right now about 30% of Albertans think leaving Canada is better than staying. More are undecided. (People who believe the system don't work, but seperation is too risky)
Right now, I think two things should happen:
1. Hold a referendum withou
