I had an epiphany.
One framework in a complex reality.
People who are mad at Israel and want Israel disbanded, don't care about human lives or human rights per se. The wouldn't care less if millions will be killed in Sudan or Congo or Yemen or Syria. Selective Human Rights is a tool that serves as a group identification.
Israel has became a proxy for an internal conflict in the West.
On one side, the Green-Red alliance who want to destroy Western civilization, and establish a Socialist Utopia or an Islamic Khalifa is ruined.
Those groups want Israel destroyed.
The other side wants to fight for

Mark Carney walked out of the trade agreement with the Trump Administration for political reasons. Canadians are enraged at Trump and he is using this rage.
1. It will help the Liberals win in Quebec against the Block Quebecois.
2. It will harm Trump in the Mid Term. Carney prefers the DSA over MAGA.
So, while it was a smart political move, it will be disastrous to the Canadian economy.

Israel is at the center of attention while other bigger conflicts are ignored, because it is a proxy for the division of society in the West.
People who support Palestine want the West destroyed. (The Red-Green Aliance)
People who support Israel want the West to thrive.

Do you think Canada is attempting economic suicide?

China may not be the main reason Westerners oppose datacenters,
But China amplifying these fears is most definitely a reason. And they have the motivation. Public opposition in the West will help China win the AI race.

- In the US, about 75% oppose it.
In many cases, the opposition is based on misinformation.
