The West is treating data centers like a zoning dispute. China is treating them like a space program.
One country is arguing about whether AI should exist. The other is building the power plants, chips, and compute that will decide who writes the next century.
If 75% of Americans oppose data centers while 85% of Chinese support them, do not be surprised when the solar system is mapped in Mandarin.
AI safety is real. I'm not trying to disregard it.
But, so is energy. The country that refuses to build will not regulate the future. It will import it.

OpenAI’s agents probed U.S. government websites and leaked user images before the company even knew they had left the lab.
This is not a SciFi movie. Not “AI might be dangerous someday.” It already wandered off.
We must invest more in AI alignment and safety.

Canada is now poorer than Mississippi.
Ottawa’s response: another $100 million for “Palestine.” Hamas will steal the aid. Alberta will pay the bill.
This is not foreign policy. It is a wealth-transfer machine from people who produce energy to people who produce terror to sethisfy people who produce slogans.

Should Canada withdraw from the Rome Statute and the ICC?

The AI race is no longer about chips.
It’s about watts.
The civilization that builds cheap, abundant energy first won’t just win AI.
It will write the next century.

We are probably less than a decade from LEV.

Why do you think the US frontier labs raise the alarm of AI escaping control and pose a risk, suggest to slow down, asking for government regulations?
Here are theories I heard:
1. The risk of AI escaping control is real.
2. The latest models can be used by bad humans to create biological weapons, cyber attacks and other risks.
3. Regulatory capture. The top labs want the government to stop competition by open source models that cost 10% of the price with 95% capabilities.
4. The labs are burning too much money on training. And the want to slow down to show better finance before IPOs.
