Instead of selling ETH to fund operations as before, the Ethereum Foundation has started staking ETH.
Recently, they staked an additional approximately $46 million worth of ETH, bringing the total staked ETH to around $50 million.
This is the largest staking amount to date and is part of a long-term plan:
- Stake up to 70,000 ETH (approximately $142 million).
- Generate a stable income (about 2.7–4% per year).
- Use the profits to fund ecosystem development.

Telegram has officially launched the decentralized AI network Cocoon, built on the TON blockchain. Cocoon allows GPU owners to rent out processing power to serve AI requests and earn rewards in TON.
Pavel Durov stated that Cocoon has processed the first requests and GPU owners have started to earn money. He noted that using Amazon or Microsoft to provide AI power increases costs and exposes data. Cocoon addresses both issues: reducing costs and enhancing privacy.
