#GateOfficiallyIntegratesPolymarket Tempo (Backed by Stripe) launches its own blockchain to facilitate payments for AI agents.
The highlight is that Tempo introduces a new standard called the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), allowing AI agents to:
- Request services autonomously
- Make payments automatically
- Receive results instantly
In simple terms, AI can independently purchase and use online services without human intervention. This standard is supported by Stripe, Visa, and Bitcoin Lightning. Additionally, the system allows the setup of “sessions,” enabling AI to make continuous payments within permitted limits, instead of requiring confirmation each time.
