Telegram has officially launched the decentralized AI network Cocoon, built on the TON blockchain. Cocoon allows GPU owners to rent out processing power to serve AI requests and earn rewards in TON.
Pavel Durov stated that Cocoon has processed the first requests and GPU owners have started to earn money. He noted that using Amazon or Microsoft to provide AI power increases costs and exposes data. Cocoon addresses both issues: reducing costs and enhancing privacy.
