#GateFirstToLaunchGoldCFD7X23Trading #Gate广场万圣节 ‌Gold at $4,061.79 Heads Into PCE Day, and the Weekend Before the Midterms Is Now Tradable
Gate says it is the first in the industry to let gold CFD holders manage XAUUSD positions through the weekend, now in beta for select customers. The timing is sharp. Gold trades at $4,061.79 after a hawkish Fed hold, the day's biggest inflation data arrives at 8:30 a.m. ET (20:30 Beijing), and the weekend leads straight into the US midterms on Tuesday, November 3.

#Gate广场万圣节 #GateFirstToLaunchGoldCFD7X23Trading Gold Doesn't Stop at $4,042 on Weekends, and Now Gate's Gold CFD Doesn't Either
Gate says it is the first in the industry to offer gold CFD (XAUUSD) trading 23 hours a day, seven days a week, now in beta for select customers. The point is not just an extra session to open positions. Weekends also let eligible users close positions as planned and manage open positions and orders. Gold trades at $4,042 today, about 1.7% above last Friday's $3,975 low, the weakest since July, and hours away from a Fed decision. That is exactly the kind of market where hours matter.
What is new
- Schedule: 06:00 to 05:00 the next day (UTC+8), with trading paused 05:00 to 06:00. That is 22:00 to 21:00 UTC, or 6 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET now and 5 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET after US clocks change on November 1.
- Weekends: the daily pause is only one hour, so Saturday and Sunday each get the same 23-hour session.
- Weekend leverage: the maximum for newly opened positions is 50x.
- Access: select customers only. Check your account page for what is displayed.
- Scope: XAUUSD gold CFD only. It is price exposure, not ownership of physical gold.
Why timing matters in this market
Gold closed near $4,194 on October 9, lost about 4% last week and touched $3,975 on October 23. It is about 28% below its January record near $5,600 and down roughly 7% to 8% this year. On Tuesday it fell to $3,989, then rebounded more than 1% to about $4,061 as oil retreated, a range of about 1.8% in one session. Wednesday's Asian trade eased back near $4,050.
The weekend window
Conventional gold markets close on Friday and reopen Sunday evening (UTC), so news in between used to go unanswered. The coming weekend, October 31 to November 1, follows the Fed decision, Thursday's GDP and PCE, and Friday's Bank of Japan decision. It also leads into the November 3 US midterms, with Gulf diplomacy and oil headlines still moving. The new window gives eligible users more ways to act: open or close a position on schedule, adjust a stop or reduce size without waiting for Monday.
Technical map from $4,042
- Resistance: $4,060 (+0.4%), $4,075 to $4,080 (+0.8% to +0.9%), $4,100 (+1.4%), and the 20-day EMA near $4,122 (+2.0%)
- Support: $3,989 (-1.3%), $3,975 (-1.7%), $3,943 to $3,941 (-2.4% to -2.5%), the year's low
Tuesday's candle confirmed a bullish harami and cleared October's 23-day high of $4,034, which helps buyers. But RSI is still bearish and price remains below the 20-day average, so the bounce is not yet a trend change.
What drives gold during extended hours
- The Fed: a hold is priced at about 91% for 2:00 p.m. ET today (02:00 Beijing, October 29). A December hike is priced near 80%, so the chair's tone matters more than the rate.
- Real yields: the 10-year at 4.99% against 3.7% CPI leaves a real yield near 1.3%, a headwind for gold.
- Dollar: the dollar index near 102.4 is firm after three days of gains.
- Oil: falling oil lifted gold on Tuesday even as yields rose, since lower energy prices ease inflation and hike fears. A Reuters survey shows analysts cutting 2026 gold forecasts for a second straight quarter on high yields, a strong dollar and rates staying higher for longer.
- Gulf risk: tensions keep safe-haven demand alive and can move oil, and gold, over a weekend.
Long, short and the leverage math
XAUUSD CFDs let traders take positions on a rise or a fall. Leverage works against you at the same speed. Margin is erased by a move of 1 divided by the leverage:
- At 50x, 2%, about $81 at $4,042
- At 20x, 5%, about $202
- At 10x, 10%, about $404
Tuesday's 1.8% range would consume about 90% of the margin at 50x, and last week's 4% decline would exceed the margin twice over. Extra hours also mean extra exposure, and weekend liquidity and spreads can differ from weekday conditions. More flexible trading hours call for better position management and appropriately sized positions.
Access and availability
The feature is available only to selected beta users. Verify your own eligibility, hours and leverage on your account page, and use the beta feedback channel in Gate's announcement. Do not assume it is universally available.
The takeaway
Gate's real change is not another gold product but time: the chance to manage a gold CFD through the weekend, when headlines still arrive. In a market that fell 4% in a week and can swing 1.8% in a day, extra time helps only when size and risk are set in advance.
CFDs are high-risk leveraged products and do not represent ownership of physical gold. This post is for discussion only and is not investment advice.

#Gate广场万圣节 Seven Numbers That Explain Why Doubling Cloud Revenue Cost Alphabet 10%
Alphabet closed its regular session near $322.35, up 1.7% into the report, then fell about 10% after hours to roughly $288 to $294 depending on the share class, wiping out more than $280 billion in value. The options market had priced a move of about 5.3%, a range near $305 to $339, so the drop was roughly twice what traders expected. Cloud revenue doubled to a record, so the selloff is not a verdict on Cloud. It is a verdict on what surrounds it. Here are the seven numbers t

#GoldReclaims4000 #ShareWeekly Gold Reclaims $4,000: A Relief Rally, Not a Reversal
Gold bulls finally caught a breath last week. After sliding to a three-month low of around $3,975 on Friday, spot prices clawed their way back above the psychological $4,000 mark, with London spot gold trading near $4,017 and COMEX futures pushing toward $4,032. The recovery was modest but symbolically important — $4,000 has become the line in the sand that separates a healthy correction from something more ominous.
Why the bounce? Two forces did the heavy lifting.
First, oil prices retreated from six-month hig

A friend says, “Do this on an L2; the fees might be quite a bit lower.” Are you also wondering: What exactly is an L2? Is it part of the same family as Ethereum?
You can first think of it like carpooling: if everyone rides in a separate car, the cost is higher; putting several people in one car gives them a chance to share some of the cost.
Take common Rollup-based L2s, for example. They process a batch of transactions outside the mainnet, then submit the relevant data and proofs or commitments to Ethereum, using corresponding mechanisms that allow the mainnet to help ensure security.

TermiX @termix_ai took first place this time.
On October 27, TermiX topped both the 7-day and 30-day protocol revenue rankings in DefiLlama’s BNB Chain AI Agents category.
TermiX, which took first place in BSC revenue this time, actually earned more protocol revenue on Base over the past 30 days.
As of October 29, the ranking still held. BSC’s 30-day protocol revenue was about $36,000, while Base’s was about $63,000. For the same project, revenue was distributed so differently. A ranking on one chain is certainly impressive, but only by looking at the entire market can we see the actual scale

SanDisk has indeed been on a tear over the past two days, posting two consecutive bullish candles and suddenly igniting market sentiment. Quite a few people have asked me: Can SanDisk climb back to 1900?
$SND Here’s my take: the odds are very low.
The reason is simple—the previous drop was brutal, plunging from its historical high to around 1200 in less than a month. But how long did it take to climb in the first place? It was a gradual grind upward. Falling fast and rising slowly—this structure says it all.
Of course, I’m not saying SanDisk is completely out of the picture now. It can still r

#美联储继续按兵不动 Inflation Is the “Master Switch”: The Fed Holds Steady, So Why Is BTC More Worried About Inflation Data?
Looking at the current macro environment and market pricing structure, BTC is more sensitive in the short term to inflation data than to the Fed’s policy signals themselves. In practice, however, the two are linked through a “source-transmission” relationship, which can be understood as follows:
I. Current Market Conditions
• The Fed’s “hawkish pause”: At its October 27-28 FOMC meeting, the Fed held the federal funds rate steady at 3.75%-4%, but there was clear internal disagreem

#Gate广场万圣节 $SHELL Strong comeback… Bull Coin is performing well! The price is up over 16%, with buying pressure pushing it toward new highs. But I think there is strong resistance around 0.030–0.032. As long as 0.026 holds, bullish momentum could continue, pushing the price to 0.030 or even 0.032. A decisive break above 0.032 could lead to further gains, but rejection in that area could trigger a pullback. Still bullish… but be cautious when trading near resistance on $SHELL

Unusually, current 1-hour trading volume is only 22.6% of normal levels, suggesting this low-volume oversold condition is more indicative of passive selling pressure than active buying.
The outlook remains weak, with trends on both timeframes moving down in tandem. Although short-term indicators point to a need for a rebound, it is premature to call a bottom before the price stabilizes. A high-volume breakout above the 150.39 resistance wou
