The updated Clarity Act draft is a step in the right direction for U.S. crypto regulation.
Its main goal is to finally end the SEC vs. CFTC uncertainty by clearly defining which digital assets fall under each regulator.
The latest version also adds an ethics provision that temporarily prevents senior U.S. officials from issuing or sponsoring digital assets, although it expires in 2029.
It's a good one, but not a perfect bill.
There are still gray areas around fundraising, stablecoin yield, and other provisions. But compared to the regulatory uncertainty we've had, it's a meaningful improveme
