In the technology world, most people think of growth as constantly adding new features.
I think real growth is being able to remove the unnecessary.
Ethereum has been looking for ways to be faster, cheaper, and more scalable for years.
But maybe the real question was never "How do we add more?"
The real question was:
"How do we keep a system simple that millions of people can trust and use for years?"
Complexity looks impressive in the short term.
Simplicity builds trust in the long term.
That's why I don't see this approach as just a technical update.
This could be a sign of blockchain networks maturing.
Because in the future, winning networks may not be the ones with the most features; they may be the ones that developers find easiest to build on and users find most comfortable to use.
