ME AI Message, Jeff Bezos refuted the prediction that artificial intelligence will cause mass unemployment, believing that this technology will instead usher in multiple golden development eras. The founder of Amazon stated in an interview that his newly established artificial intelligence laboratory "Prometheus," which he invested $41 billion in, will leverage AI technology to drive transformation in manufacturing and engineering fields. Since stepping down as Amazon's CEO in 2021, this is Bezos's first time leading a new enterprise. When elaborating on the development vision of the "Prometheus" laboratory, he countered warnings that AI would severely impact the job market. "Those who hastily conclude that all jobs will disappear... I believe their views are wrong," said Bezos, the world's fourth-richest person. Bezos bets that AI will empower his vast business empire, which covers space exploration, robotics, logistics, cloud computing, and life extension research. He stated, "Almost all the projects I handle now are closely related to AI." "We are currently in multiple golden eras, and the AI field is undoubtedly one of them... the same goes for space exploration, biotechnology, and others," Bezos said. He predicted, "In the next ten years, a series of disruptive breakthroughs will emerge one after another." (Source: Tonghuashun)
