I am 19 years old this year, and this is my third day in the crypto world.
I almost got liquidated on my first trade, but luckily I reacted quickly, sensed something was wrong, and quickly cut my losses and exited 😭.
I was extremely uncomfortable at the time, and my position was halved instantly.
When I was about to open a new position to recover my losses, luckily my rationality pulled me back, or I would have definitely wiped out.
The market changes too fast!
After calming down, I made a few short-term trades that all turned a profit, but I almost let greed take over me on each of these trades.
Next time, I will be more careful 🤪.
Keep going!
Trading Discipline
1. Respect the market, always set a stop-loss
The thrilling experience of the first trade is the best teacher.
You must set a stop-loss level before opening a position and strictly follow it.
When the market trend does not match your expectations, do not hold on to hope; cutting losses decisively is the most effective way to protect your capital.
2. Ban emotional trading and revenge trading
The worst thing after a loss is to immediately go all-in trying to "win it back."
When you feel upset or eager to turn things around, it indicates your mindset is unbalanced.
At this point, you must force yourself to stop trading, step away from the market, and wait until your emotions are fully settled before making decisions.
3. Overcome greed, strictly follow take-profit rules
After short-term gains, do not become greedy and think "it might go up a little more."
Set a reasonable take-profit target in advance; locking in profits is real money.
Don’t let a profitable trade turn into a loss because of greed.
4. Control position size, avoid blind all-in bets
Halving your position size can greatly affect your mindset.
Beginners should avoid full positions or high leverage trading.
It is recommended to use only a very small proportion of funds (such as 5% of total capital) for testing, ensuring that even consecutive stop-losses won’t damage your core capital.
5. Be patient and wait in cash
Market changes are too fast; opportunities are not available at every moment.
When there are no clear signals or your condition is not good, learning to stay in cash and observe is also a high-level trading strategy.
Preserving your capital means you will always have another chance in this market. #我的Gate交易时刻 #Bitmine再次买入2.5万枚ETH #美伊冲突升级 #Gate上线港股交易
