OpenAI joined the investment; AI compliance startup Poetic raises $50 million at a $500 million valuation

ME AI News: According to Beating Monitoring, the AI startup Poetic has announced the official end of its stealth operations and has completed a $50 million funding round. This round was led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from OpenAI, Founders Fund (Peter Thiel’s fund), First Harmonic, and Genius Ventures. Poetic’s current valuation has reached $500 million.

Unlike conventional agent systems, Poetic is designed to develop high-precision automation software for large enterprises to handle complex business processes such as fraud investigations, insurance underwriting, and financial compliance. The team combines the flexibility of artificial intelligence with the determinism of traditional code. When the business environment does not change, the system runs fixed deterministic code to ensure execution speed and cost efficiency; when the environment changes, the system uses AI to dynamically adjust execution plans to ensure tasks are successfully completed and goals are met.

According to official data, when executing complex tasks lasting for several hours, the system can achieve accuracy of over 99%, and its token consumption is only one-tenth of that of traditional agent systems. Over the past year, with only 4 team members, Poetic achieved annual recurring revenue (ARR) from zero to an eight-figure scale (over tens of millions of dollars). The system has already been deployed at major financial and insurance institutions including AIG, SoFi, and Chime. In SoFi’s anti-fraud business at a large U.S. bank, the system achieved fraud investigation quality of over 99% within 5 weeks of deployment.
