The proportion of bearish investors in the US stock market rises to 47.7%, approaching the highest of 52% this year.
Odaily Planet Daily News reports that the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) sentiment survey shows that the bearish sentiment among investors has surged to 47.7% in the past week, approaching the highest level this year of 52% (March 18), well above the historical average of 31%.
The AAII sentiment survey asks individual investors about their outlook on the market over the next six months to gain insight into their opinions, and has been conducted continuously since 1987.
