From January to May, our country's import and export of goods trade continued to grow steadily

General Administration of Customs released data on the 9th showing that in the first five months of this year, China's total import and export value of goods trade reached 20.68 trillion yuan, with the year-on-year growth rate continuing to rise to 15.3%, an acceleration of 0.4 percentage points compared to the first four months. Among them, in May alone, imports and exports totaled 4.45 trillion yuan, with the year-on-year growth rate expanding by 2.7 percentage points to 16.9% compared to the previous month. Regarding China's foreign trade performance, Lu Daliang, Director of the Statistical Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, described it as "continuing stable growth." He said that since the beginning of this year, under the leadership of the head-of-state diplomacy strategy, China has actively deepened pragmatic cooperation with global economic and trade partners, injecting stability into international trade operations. As of May, monthly imports and exports have exceeded 4 trillion yuan for three consecutive months, maintaining a good operational trend. (Xinhua News Agency)
