ME News report: On June 10 (UTC+8), Janus Henderson Investors, an asset management firm managing $480 billion in assets, announced a multi-faceted partnership with synthetic dollar protocol Ethena. It will integrate its AAA-rated collateralized loan obligation (CLO) product JAAA strategy into the USDe reserve portfolio, bringing institutional-level credit exposure to it. Through its blockchain investment arm ANTIK, it will make a strategic investment in Ethena’s governance token ENA; the amount was not disclosed. It also committed to include staked sUSDe in the company’s treasury cash management to earn the protocol’s native yields. The two sides will jointly develop regulated investment tools for USDe and ENA (including ETFs and ETPs), targeting a launch in the second half of 2026. According to DefiLlama data, the Ethena protocol’s TVL is approximately $4.95 billion. After the announcement, the market response was muted; ENA fell by about 7% to around $0.082, with a market cap of about $760 million. This partnership makes Janus Henderson the traditional asset management company with the deepest integration with Ethena to date. (Source: ChainCatcher)
