A true danger to society is not that there are more and more bad people, but that through institutional design, those who speak the truth pay a price, those who remain silent gain safety, and speculators reap rewards. When a system long-term makes kindness bear the costs and silence bring benefits, it produces no longer citizens, but survivors; no longer cultivates responsibility, but calculation; no longer encourages creating value, but encourages finding loopholes. Ultimately, what erodes society is never a few evil people, but distorted incentive mechanisms.
