Lately I’ve been itching to cross-chain and chase the newest pools, but I ended up pausing at the bridge step and calming down instead. No need to pretend—when you boil it down, a bridge is basically a matter of “who you can trust”: whether the multi-signature signers are truly decentralized enough, whether the keys are controlled by the same group, and whether the data fed by the oracle is reliable. Even if it claims to be decentralized, just look at the list of signers and you’ll get the gist.

I used to get annoyed the moment I saw “waiting for confirmation,” thinking it was too slow—but now I feel those few minutes are worth it. It gives you time to verify on-chain whether it really went through, and whether someone is slipping it in and out along the same route. Lately, AI Agents and automated trading have been getting a lot of hype, with grand narratives flying everywhere—but I care more about whether they’ve actually written the security boundaries for interactions clearly…

Anyway, I’m cross-chaining with small test amounts for now. If it’s slower, then it’s slower—just don’t go all-in and crank up the intensity on yourself.
