The Proof of Stake (pos) mechanism was originally a great invention. When there are enough nodes, it can self-organize to produce some behavior patterns that are beneficial to the network—value that you even can’t anticipate. In the field of AI, this phenomenon is called “emergence.”
Just like brain neurons: humans have a total of 10 billion neurons. If you single one out, it means nothing—it only contracts and fires, just like a single pos node that only keeps records and broadcasts. But when so many neurons form a network, they can form intelligence and cognition.
However, the premise is that each node is equal and self-driven. There must not be a single node that becomes a great leader, guiding the behavior patterns of other nodes; otherwise, all you can be is a programmed dancing robot.
From this perspective, for ETH to be as great as BTC, EF nodes must first shut down.
