A report released on May 23rd predicts that artificial intelligence will drive significant long-term productivity improvements. Although current productivity growth across the entire economy is only 0.1% per year, the bank estimates that in an optimistic scenario, AI-driven productivity improvements could contribute an additional approximately 1 percentage point annually over the next decade, potentially raising global growth rates to 4.5%.
