Recently, I see everyone earning testnet points as if clocking in for work... To be honest, it was originally to practice feel and get familiar with interactions, but subconsciously I thought "I can exchange this for money later," and once the expectation was set, people started to lose control and increase their bets.
My stop-loss is pretty simple: first, think clearly about how much time/fees/risk I am willing to spend for these "possible" points, and if it exceeds that, stop; secondly, keep separate wallets—use a dedicated testnet account, don’t touch the main wallet, don’t treat authorization and private keys lightly just because of a few clicks.
And then there are those large on-chain transfers, or hot and cold wallets on exchanges, being interpreted as signals of smart money... don’t believe it too much, often what you see is a "story," not the answer.
Don’t chase emotions, especially don’t click on unknown “check points” or “re-sign” links—most of the time they’re phishing. When I see this, I just want to curse.
Anyway, I’ve reached my limit for today, so I’ll stop and save some energy to live.
I’m off to work.
