MegaETH, a high-performance Ethereum Layer 2 network, will officially launch its public mainnet on February 9. The project is developed by MegaLabs and aims to create a "real-time" blockchain with ultra-low latency and high throughput. Target application areas include trading platforms and gaming. MegaETH has received support from many backers, including Ethereum co-founders Vitalik Buterin and Joe Lubin, and was oversubscribed in the token sale in October 2025, raising $450 million.
