USD8 is launching next week. Many people’s first reaction is to ask about the annualized yield, but that shouldn’t actually be the first question.
When putting stablecoins into an RWA yield product, I first look at whether the underlying assets are real and verifiable, and whether the funds are held in secure custody.
Then I confirm the redemption mechanism: Are there lock-up restrictions? Will redemption incur additional fees? Compared with an eye-catching APY, the authenticity of the assets and whether the funds can be withdrawn smoothly are the most critical considerations.

$1 FIL—are you chasing it?
Look at the surface first: one big bullish candle, and the whole market is shouting that the bull is back.
Breaking out from 0.80 through 0.854 on heavy volume, it shot straight to 1.03, up 22% in 24 hours, with perpetual futures trading volume surging to $390 million. The daily chart moved above the 20-, 50-, and 200-day moving averages, turning the structure bullish. But RSI is already at 70, the Bollinger Bands are touching the upper band, and hourly RSI briefly exceeded 80.
First point: the token lockup release is ending, cutting supply by 75%, but you may be buying into “expectations.”
Around October 15, the token lockup releases for Protocol Labs and the Filecoin Foundation are expected to end, with total issuance projected to decrease by approximately 75%. This is the biggest supply-side change since the mainnet launched.
The move from 0.8 to 1.03 is driven by this expectation. When the positive catalyst actually materializes, that is often when short-term capital exits.
Second point: the AI storage narrative is sexy, but paying demand is still in its “infancy.”
After the Onchain Cloud upgrade, batch processing of 404 files cut gas fees by 85%. Aurora and 375ai are using Filecoin for AI data centers and verifiable data pipelines. Sounds like it is ready to take off?
But look at the actual data: Filecoin Pay’s annualized run rate has risen from several hundred dollars at the beginning of the year to the tens-of-thousands-of-dollars range.
The network’s raw storage capacity is 1.4-1.95 EiB, with 587 PiB in active storage deals, but paid utilization is only around 30%. Reduced supply does not equal increased demand. The end of lockup releases can reduce selling pressure, but what really drives the price is whether someone is willing to pay to store data.
Third point: FOMC tomorrow, with the rate-hike probability at 60-85%, and FIL is a high-beta altcoin.
At the September 15-16 FOMC meeting, Chair Warsh is hawkish, inflation is sticky, and the market’s rate-hike probability has already surged to 60-85%. BTC is hovering around 77,000, and overall sentiment is cautious.
As a small- to mid-cap altcoin, FIL is extremely sensitive to liquidity. If the rate hike is delivered or the dot plot turns hawkish, it will be the first to get hit.
Resistance: 1.03 (intraday high) → 1.08-1.12 (psychological level + Fibonacci extension)
Support: 0.95-0.96 (breakout retest zone) → 0.85-0.88 (former resistance turned support) → 0.80 (previous low)
Bulls versus bears—you decide
On one side:
Lockup releases end, reducing supply by 75%
Onchain Cloud upgrade, AI storage narrative gaining momentum
Daily chart above all moving averages, structure turning bullish
Short squeeze providing a boost, funding rate positive
On the other side:
RSI overbought, strong need for a short-term pullback
High FOMC rate-hike probability, macro pressure
Paying demand is still in its early stages, with the narrative outweighing revenue
Perpetual long positions crowded, making a pullback prone to a cascade
Trading strategy
Conservative bullish strategy:
Wait for a pullback to 0.95-0.96, then go long with a small position after a low-volume four-hour pullback plus bullish-candle confirmation. Stop-loss below 0.92; if 1.03 breaks, target 1.08-1.12.
Short-term trade:
If it repeatedly spikes to 1.02-1.03 and retreats on declining volume, cautiously try a short with a small position. Target 0.96-0.95, stop-loss above 1.04.
Medium-term positioning:
Before the lockup release ends in October, if it pulls back to 0.85-0.88 without fundamental deterioration, build a spot or low-leverage position in batches.
FIL’s 24-hour volatility often exceeds 20%, and holding perpetual positions overnight with a positive funding rate is costly. Do not take large positions before or around the FOMC; stop-losses must be set.
FIL now resembles the storage narrative of 2020—
99% of people think “AI storage is the future,” then chase it at $1 and capitulate when it pulls back to 0.85.
When real paying demand finally explodes, you will realize:
It is not that FIL is incapable—it is that you always buy the top when positive catalysts materialize and sell during the shakeout.

Over the past two years, I’ve looked at quite a few RWA projects, and I’ve found that the most easily overlooked issue is actually the most practical one:
Once assets are issued, who will provide the liquidity?
Although many assets are already on-chain, when it comes to trading, they still can’t avoid custody, wrapped assets, and various intermediaries.
I recently looked through @cancore_io’s public data, and it’s no longer just at the conceptual stage.
Since launching in April 2026, Cancore has completed more than 76k Swaps, with cumulative trading volume exceeding $41 million and revenue of more than $440k.
Of these figures, revenue is actually what I care about most.
Trading volume shows that people are using it, while the ability to generate real revenue shows that people are indeed willing to pay for this trading route.
Cancore uses HTLC atomic settlement. Simply put, both parties first lock their respective assets in a contract using the same password condition. Once the key is revealed, both parties complete the claim separately; if the process is not completed in time, each party retrieves its original assets.
There is no need to hand the assets over to an intermediary custodian first, nor to convert them into wrapped assets. Either the swap is completed, or the assets are returned after the timeout.
What Cancore does is actually very specific: enabling assets on different networks to genuinely trade after RWA assets are issued.
The platform currently connects 5 networks and supports 23 tokens and more than 250 trading pairs. It may still seem a little abstract if you only read the introduction, so if you’re interested, try making a small Swap yourself—once you go through the process, you’ll see how great it is!
In addition, the $50,000 $CNRX quota campaign is now live. If you’re interested, remember to participate as well:

Last week, Bitcoin spot ETFs looked a bit ugly. From September 7 to 11, total net outflows amounted to $463 million. ARKB saw the largest outflow, with $234 million leaving over the week; GBTC also recorded outflows of $129 million. On the other hand, MSBT saw net inflows of $19.64 million last week, but that was still far smaller than the outflows mentioned above. Continued outflows from ETFs are definitely not good for BTC in the short term.

What is the gambler’s most fundamental need?
1. A sense of security. If I play at your casino and win money, I need to be able to take it away and spend it. If someone wants to rob me? Sorry, but at least within the casino’s jurisdiction, I need to protect my customers.

$BTC had a pretty rough weekly close, with sellers clearly having the upper hand.
On the 1H chart, price is still stuck moving around the support zone. BTC has flipped the area again, but now it’s facing resistance.
I’m watching this level closely. If buyers can’t push through, another rejection could be on the way and things may turn weaker from here.

Trader Killa’s “betrayal”: from watching the FOMC to ignoring the FOMC
Three months ago, Killa was still using FOMC data to determine BTC support levels.
One month ago, he was still warning: losing $61k would trigger a test of $54k.
Today, he said: “The macro narrative is just noise.”
A trader who had consistently used macro factors to trade suddenly threw macro into the trash.
The timeline.
On June 17, Killa said: Of the eight FOMC meetings since 2025 began, BTC fell seven times. The bullish structure line was $64k.
On August 1, BTC fell again after the FOMC. He said: Losing $61k–$61.5k would trigger a test of $54k–$56k.
That Killa was a standard macro believer.
Then he changed.
On August 12, the narrative weighting began shifting from macro to the Clarity Act—the catalyst changed from the interest-rate path to regulatory legislation.
On September 12, he said: The market keeps sweeping the lows repeatedly, with the goal of destroying bullish confidence. The final sweep will mark a local bottom.
On September 14, he completely changed his stance: “Most people focus on macroeconomics to predict asset movements, but most macro narratives are merely distractions.”
He added:
“BTC often starts moving before the reason becomes obvious. By the time the macro environment changes and the herd realizes it, Bitcoin has usually already completed its move. Correlations are often lagging.”
In plain English: By the time you see the news and act, the train has already left.
Why does he suddenly no longer care about the FOMC?
It’s not that he doesn’t care; the positioning structure before the FOMC is a hundred times more important than the FOMC itself.
At the very moment he posted that tweet—
BTC was oscillating repeatedly between $76k and $78k, testing the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level at $76,380.
CME FedWatch showed an 86.5% probability of a rate hike in September.
Over the past week, 142k people were liquidated, with long liquidations accounting for as much as 70%.
The Ethereum ETF saw net outflows for four consecutive days, while repeated attempts to break the $80k level failed.
Killa’s “sweep the lows” on September 12 and “macro is noise” on September 14 are two sides of the same thing.
What he wants you to watch is not the FOMC’s 25 basis points, but the fact that market makers had already cleaned you out before the FOMC.
What is truly worth noting is the third migration in narrative weighting.
Stage one: Trade based on macro. In June, Killa used historical FOMC data to determine the direction.
Stage two: Trade based on regulation. In August, Killa treated the Clarity Act as the core catalyst.
Stage three: Trade based on positioning structure. In September, Killa focused only on the long-to-short ratio, liquidation data, and low-sweeping behavior.
Why?
Because on September 15, the Clarity Act faces a procedural vote requiring 60 votes in the Senate. Republicans hold only 53 seats, and prediction markets show a very low probability of passage this year.
Regulatory uncertainty is too high for it to serve as a short-term trading anchor.
And interest rates? An 86.5% probability of a rate hike—it has long been priced in.
What has not truly been priced in is the distribution of leverage.
Killa is not telling you that the FOMC is unimportant.
He is telling you that the price reaction after the FOMC is more important than the FOMC itself.
BTC has repeatedly been grinding against the $76,380 level. Historically, when a key support level is tested repeatedly, it often means the support is about to fail.
If it breaks, the next level to watch is $72,820, followed by $69,950–$71,170.
But Killa’s logic is the opposite—
Repeated sweeps of the lows are meant to clear out leverage and drive longs to despair. When you think, “It broke below the previous low again—we’re finished,” the final sweep may already be complete.
He is betting not on direction, but on structure.
When someone switches from “trading based on data” to “trading based on structure,” it means they believe short-term data fluctuations are no longer sufficient to explain price movements.
Killa predicted the 2025 bull-market top.
In mid-April, he precisely shorted at $74,688.
On June 5, he went long as the market fell across the board, deploying 90% of his position.
You may not believe his conclusions, but you cannot ignore his shift in logic.
For three consecutive months, he shifted the narrative weighting from macro to regulation, and then from regulation to positioning structure.
This shows that he believes the market has shifted from being “rate-driven” to being “liquidity-hunt-driven.”
At this stage, watching FOMC data is like driving while staring into the rearview mirror.
What truly determines your profit or loss is the brake pedal ahead—you don’t know when to press it, but market makers do.
Killa’s betrayal is a signal.
It is not telling you that the FOMC is unimportant; it is telling you that the price reaction after the FOMC is the market’s true language.#传Anthropic选择纳斯达克IPO #Gate24小时合约持仓量超114.79亿美元 #韩国股市开盘重挫3% $ETH $BTC $SOL

A new week begins, with this week’s main focus on the rate-setting meeting.
At present, major institutions are all certain that there will be a rate hike this time, and the market is already trading on that expectation. Current conditions indicate that the probability of a rate hike is steadily increasing, but there are also many factors arguing against one.
The pressure is now on Warsh. I previously expected Warsh to withstand the pressure, but this time, both oil prices and the two forward-looking data releases have supported expectations for a rate hike, so I am starting to wonder whether Warsh might actually raise rates.
However, there are several possible scenarios even if rates are raised. The rate decision and the remarks at the subsequent press conference will have a major impact.
If rates are actually raised by 25 basis points in September but the possibility of further hikes is downplayed, then the decline that has already been priced in will leave limited room for a further pullback.
If a 25-basis-point hike is followed by stronger expectations of continued tightening, the market will face sustained pressure.
Conversely, if the pressure is resisted this time and rates are kept unchanged, the market will rebound. However, if the press conference takes a hawkish tone and emphasizes that subsequent rate hikes may be delayed, that will also have an impact. But I think this scenario is highly unlikely. If there is no rate hike in September, there will be even less chance of one in October, despite the sharp rise in oil prices in September.
Therefore, taking the market into account, I estimate the probability ratio between a bottoming rebound and a sustained decline at 6:4. I am more inclined to look for a low and bet on a long position. I expect Warsh to remain hawkish in rhetoric while keeping policy unchanged in action.

A new week begins, with the interest-rate decision meeting as the main focus this week.
At present, major institutions are all convinced that rates will be raised this time, and the market is also trading on that expectation. Current conditions indicate that the probability of a rate hike is continuously increasing, but there are also many conditions suggesting that rates cannot be raised.
The pressure is now on Wash. Previously, I expected Wash to withstand the pressure, but this time, oil prices and both forward-looking data releases have leaned toward rate-hike expectations. I’m even starting to wonder whether Wash may actually raise rates.
However, there are several possible scenarios even if rates are raised. The rate-hike decision and the remarks at the subsequent press conference will have a major impact.
If rates are genuinely raised by 25 basis points in September, but the possibility of further hikes is played down, then the decline that has already been priced in will have limited room for a further pullback.
If, after raising rates by 25 basis points, expectations for further tightening are reinforced, the market will face sustained pressure.
Conversely, if pressure is resisted this time and rates remain unchanged, the market will rebound. However, if the press conference takes a hawkish tone and emphasizes that subsequent rate hikes may be delayed, that will also have an impact. But I think the probability of this is too low. If rates are not raised in September, they are even less likely to be raised in October, even though oil prices have surged this month.
Therefore, taking the market action into account, I estimate the probability ratio between a bottoming rebound and a sustained decline at 6:4. I’m more inclined to look for lows and take long positions. I expect Wash to maintain a hawkish stance verbally while keeping policy unchanged in action.

Is the history of 16 rate hikes in 1988 repeating?
BTC’s “tightening stress test” has only just begun...
From March 1988 to May 1989, the Federal Reserve raised rates 16 consecutive times, for a cumulative 331 basis points. At the time, no one knew how many hikes it would take before stopping.
More than 30 years later, Citi’s latest report has once again compared the current macro environment with that period of history—and the similarity has clearly increased.
August PPI rose 5.4% year on year, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous month and exceeding expectations. Core CPI rose 0.3% month on month, above the expected 0.2%, marking the strongest monthly increase since April.
Key details: housing rose 0.3%, communication services rose 2.3%, airfares rose 2.7%, and wireless telephone services jumped 5.94% in a single month—a record high.
This is not energy carrying the entire burden alone. Price increases are spreading across broader sectors.
CME FedWatch shows that the probability of a 25-basis-point rate hike in September has reached 86.5%. Goldman Sachs abruptly changed its stance, shifting from “holding steady” to expecting a rate hike. KPMG’s chief economist summed up the market consensus in one sentence: “The question is no longer whether they will raise rates, but how much they need to raise them to curb inflation.”
But what is truly interesting is the opposing view.
LMAX strategist Joel Kruger’s view is worth considering: “Most of the hawkish risk is already priced in.”
In plain English: the rate hike itself, once implemented, could instead create a rebound window as the uncertainty premium declines.
It is like being extremely anxious before an exam, then feeling relieved once it is over. The most frightening moment is often not when the result is revealed, but the period spent waiting for it.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index currently reads 69 and remains in the “Greed” zone. Market sentiment has not collapsed; it is merely hesitating.
But don’t celebrate too soon.
The Citi report highlights a key signal: if the energy shock persists, tighter financial conditions and widening credit spreads could become the transmission chain toward a stagflation scenario.
Brent crude has surged above $109 per barrel due to the situation in the Middle East.
What is stagflation? Economic growth stagnates while inflation continues to rise. For the crypto market, this is the worst-case scenario—you have neither the certainty of safe-haven assets nor the upward momentum of risk assets.
The lesson from 1988 is not that “rate hikes will kill the bull market.”
It is that “no one knows how many hikes it will take before stopping.”
Now let’s look at Bitcoin itself.
BTC/USD is currently around $77,800, repeatedly testing the key level of $76,380. This price corresponds to the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level between the June low of $57,766 and the August high of $82,130.
In the most recent trading session, BTC briefly touched $76,480 before regaining its footing, indicating that buying activity remains strong near the support level.
But repeated testing weakens support.
After the CPI data was released, BTC plunged to $76,046, and a whale’s $70 million BTC long position was fully liquidated, resulting in a $1.6 million loss. Had it not been liquidated, the position could have generated an $830k profit.
Over the past 24 hours, $278 million in positions were liquidated across the entire market, including $196 million in long positions. The market is voting for “tightening expectations” with real money.
BTC currently has extremely limited room for maneuver.
If $76,380 breaks, the next level to watch is $72,820; if the decline intensifies, the $69,950–$71,170 support range will become important.
Whether $76,380 holds is ten times more important than whether rates are raised.
That is because a rate hike is a known variable, already priced in at 86.5%. But once $76,380 gives way, it will trigger a chain reaction of liquidity-driven liquidations—that will be the real “tightening stress test.”
In 1988, after 16 rate hikes, the economy slowed and policy eventually shifted toward easing.
In 2026, this is only the first one.
What do you think—how many times can $76,380 hold?#CoinDesk披露GateRWA永续合约全球Top3 #8月核心CPI超预期 #美参议院发布新版CLARITY法案 $ETH $BTC $SOL

Warsh’s no-win dilemma: raising rates makes him a “traitor,” while not raising them makes him a “liar”
At 2 a.m. Thursday, Fed Chair Warsh will face a multiple-choice question.
Option A: Raise rates. Trump will explode.
Option B: Don’t raise rates. The market will explode.
There is no safe answer.
Trump personally pushed Warsh into the Fed chairmanship, expecting him to cut rates. But after taking office, Warsh kept rates unchanged at every meeting and personally opened the door to a rate hike in late August at Jackson Hole: “If we do not have confirmation that inflation is moving back toward 2%, we still have work to do.”
Then Trump resumed the pressure campaign. On September 4, he posted several messages in a row: “Either cut rates, or I will stop trading with countries that have trade surpluses with us… Be a patriot for once.”
Warsh did not respond. The market answered for him—the CME FedWatch tool showed that the probability of a 25-basis-point rate hike in September had already surged to 86.5%.
The market is telling you with real money: Warsh will most likely raise rates, no matter how much Trump shouts.
But the essence of the matter is far more complicated than “whether to raise rates.”
Warsh is facing a no-win dilemma.
Scenario one: Raise rates as expected.
Bitcoin is already struggling around $76,700, while ETFs have seen net outflows for four consecutive days. Once the hike is implemented, the short-term pain will be certain—BTC could test below $75,000, and the $76,380 38.2% Fibonacci support level could be breached at any time.
But what happens after the “shoe drops”? The power of short-covering should not be underestimated.
Looking back to September 3, a single dovish comment from Waller drove $730 million into Bitcoin ETFs, sending BTC from $77,000 to $81,000. Now reverse the situation—if the hike is implemented but the Fed signals that it is a “one-off hike,” short-covering could likewise quickly push prices back up.
On a deeper level, a rate hike means the Fed acknowledges that inflation is not dead. Core CPI rose 0.3% month-on-month in August, communication services prices surged 2.3%, and wireless telephone charges jumped 5.94% in a single month, a record high. If inflation has not been tamed, the narrative of Bitcoin as an “inflation-hedging asset” has reason to return. Its 90-day correlation with gold has climbed to its highest level since 2020. A rate hike is a short-term poison but a medium-term antidote.
Scenario two: Unexpectedly keep rates unchanged.
If the 86.5% market pricing for a rate hike fails to materialize—you can imagine the scene. The dollar plunges, gold soars, and risk assets initially celebrate.
But don’t celebrate too soon. How will the market interpret it? “The Fed has retreated under political pressure.”
That is more frightening than the rate hike itself. Once the Fed’s independence is called into question, long-term Treasury yields could instead surge—the 10-year Treasury yield is already nearing 4.95%. If long-end rates run out of control, risk assets will still be crushed.
The rate cut gained through this is not easing, but a collapse of confidence. The market has handed Warsh a dead-end choice: raise rates and lose the White House; don’t raise rates and lose credibility.
James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, put it precisely: Bitcoin faces an “unusual combination”—short-term bearishness and medium-term bullishness existing simultaneously.
Short term: Sticky CPI, an 86%+ probability of a rate hike, ETF outflows, and precarious support at $76,000.
Medium term: The US Treasury’s bond buybacks are proving ineffective, and if that continues, it could force larger-scale intervention, intensifying concerns about currency depreciation—ultimately benefiting Bitcoin and gold.
In plain English: a rate hike is short-term bearish, while not raising rates is a long-term nuclear bomb.
2 a.m. Thursday.
What Warsh has to do is not merely make an interest-rate decision; he is pricing his own credibility.
Omair Sharif, founder of Inflation Insights, put it most bluntly: “For the Fed, it is time to speak through its actions, or else shut up.”
Warsh cannot deliver a hawkish speech at Jackson Hole and then fail to follow through at a crucial meeting. Huatai Securities has already warned that if Warsh fails to deliver on his hawkish commitment, the Fed’s credibility will suffer significantly, and long-end rates will become even harder to control.
Conversely, if he follows through—he will be the one who betrayed Trump.
A rate hike is reputation; no rate hike is loyalty. Warsh can choose only one.
And Bitcoin is pricing in both outcomes at the same time.#CoinDesk披露GateRWA永续合约全球Top3 #8月核心CPI超预期 #美参议院发布新版CLARITY法案 $ETH $BTC $SOL

2018–2021 → 21.9x
