MAGIC at $0.13—would you still dare chase it?
From $0.05 to $0.13, doubling on the weekly chart, everyone is shouting “the new AI Agent narrative”—but $0.13 is right at the middle of the range, with $0.16 capped by a shooting star above, while a break below $0.116 opens the abyss. Is this a genuine breakout, or is the market maker luring buyers in by exploiting altcoin rotation?
First, the surface: the rally is fierce, but the position is awkward.
+100% in 7 days, +170% in 30 days, climbing from around $0.05 to $0.13. Market cap is $46 million, FDV is $47 million, and circulating supply is nearly fully unlocked. 24-hour volume is $300-$400 million, nearly 10 times the market cap—this is not a fundamental revaluation, but pure trading activity. Daily RSI is 68-71 and weekly RSI is 74: hot, but not yet at the extreme level of 85. $0.13 sits in the upper-middle of the day’s $0.116-$0.147 range; it is neither a breakout level nor a breakdown.
First: this rally has no hard catalyst and is riding entirely on altcoin rotation plus a forced connection to the AI narrative.
The Altcoin Season Index has climbed to just above 60 over the past month, with capital flowing from BTC into high-beta small caps. The MAGIC project’s own story has shifted from “Arbitrum gaming DAO” to “AI Agent”:
Treasure Chain has shut down, while Bridgeworld and Canopy have stopped, and the Magicswap and Treasure Marketplace frontends have sunset.
The surviving narratives are AI Frens, agents on Ronin, and Kong Book on Loxley in September.
MAGIC has been redefined as “a reserve currency for agents to pay for computing power and governance.”
Sounds exciting?
But there is no evidence of increased on-chain activity. TVL and the old products have already been shut down. A $46 million market cap shows the market treats it as a lottery ticket, not a platform. The move from $0.039 to $0.13 is merely an oversold rebound plus beta; don’t fool yourself with the $6 price from 2022.
Second: two risks are still hanging over it.
1. Supply risk: The community is watching an ecosystem fund unlock of approximately 13 million tokens. With a total supply of 350 million, a concentrated inflow into a $46 million market cap can create a straight red candle. The exact timing is subject to official confirmation; don’t go all-in early based on rumors.
2. Brand contamination: The unrelated Southeast Asian “Treasure NFT” Ponzi shares the name, which may scare off people who do not check the contract and may be used as an excuse during a sharp drop.
What does a narrative reboot mean? It means the product has not worked yet, so the story is changed first to pump the price.
Third: the technicals tell you that $0.13 is not a buying point.
Daily structure:
10/1-10/8: Bottom formation at $0.053-$0.066, with very low volume.
10/9: Pulled from $0.066 to $0.12 on a volume-backed breakout.
10/10: Spiked to $0.160-$0.164, then closed back at $0.10. A standard shooting star, leaving supply overhead.
10/11: Dipped to $0.092 before recovering to $0.13, forming a V-shape.
10/12: High of $0.147, low of $0.116; the $0.13 you see is right in the middle.
Moving averages: The daily price is above the 10-, 20-, 50-, 100-, and 200-day moving averages. The 50-day is around $0.117, and the 200-day is around $0.08-$0.09, so the medium-term trend remains bullish. But the short-term trend previously turned bearish around $0.12, making this a pullback within an uptrend.
Key levels:
Resistance: $0.139-$0.147 → $0.160-$0.164 (the 10/10 wick, the real gate) → $0.178
Support: $0.122-$0.124 → $0.116 (today’s low; losing it damages the daily structure) → $0.104 → $0.092-$0.098 → $0.066 (breakout origin)
From $0.13, the upside to $0.147 is only 13%, and to $0.16 is about 23%; a break below $0.116 means an 11% loss, but true invalidation would require seeing $0.10 or even $0.092, meaning a 23%-29% loss. Entering at the midpoint means the stop-loss is either too tight and gets shaken out, or too far away to be worthwhile.
The bulls and bears face off—you decide
On one side:
Altcoin rotation, with the AI narrative being swept up
Circulating supply nearly fully unlocked, with no massive unlock cliff
Daily moving averages aligned bullishly, OI at 13-14 million
Funding rate slightly positive; longs are starting to pay, but only lightly
On the other side:
No hard catalyst; AI is just a story without a product
The 13 million-token ecosystem fund unlock remains pending
Brand contamination (the Southeast Asian Ponzi shares the name)
Shooting-star resistance at $0.16, with double-top risk
Macro: BTC at $83,700-$84k, but 10-year U.S. Treasury yields at 5.36% and ETF net outflows; altcoins are merely undergoing structural rotation
Trading strategy
Let’s make the leverage point clear first: cap it at 2-3x. A 20% daily range is routine for this token, and on 10/10 it nearly halved from the high to the close. Opening a 10x position at $0.13 can get wiped out by a normal pullback.
At the current $0.13, do not chase.
Three approaches:
1. Already holding from $0.06-$0.09:
Take 30%-50% off in batches at $0.145-$0.16, and raise the stop-loss for the remainder to below $0.116, or more conservatively below $0.104. Do not give back all the profits from this move in the face of unlock rumors and resistance at the prior high.
2. Those looking to open new longs should wait for one of two confirmations:
Pullback: Buy at $0.118-$0.122; exit if it breaks below $0.114 or fails to reclaim $0.116 on the daily close. First target $0.145, then $0.158.
Breakout: Add only after a 4-hour close above $0.147 with volume support, followed by a pullback to $0.138-$0.142 that holds. Target $0.160, then $0.175 after it establishes support. If it merely spikes to $0.16 and closes back below it, treat it as a repeat of 10/10 and reduce exposure.
3. A deeper entry, suitable only for those who can handle volatility:
$0.098-$0.104 is the 10/10 closing zone and the 10/11 launch area. Stop-loss below $0.091. If $0.091 breaks decisively, this breakout has failed, with the next level at $0.075-$0.066; do not average down halfway up the mountain.
Shorts are for tactics, not trends. The daily price remains above all moving averages, so countertrend shorts can easily trigger another short squeeze like the one on 10/10. The only short setup worth watching: after another volume-backed push to $0.147-$0.164, it fails to reclaim the level within 1 hour while OI does not follow. Stop-loss above $0.168, with targets at $0.130, $0.120, and $0.104. The funding rate is only slightly positive, so shorts are not making money simply by holding; the profit comes from the entry.
When to admit defeat: A daily close below $0.104, together with BTC losing $80k. That is not a pullback—it means the rotation is over, the rebound should be treated as distribution, and targets are $0.08 or even $0.066.
MAGIC now looks like those “narrative reboot tokens” from 2024—
Change the story, pump once, trap a batch of buyers, then go to zero.
But what is different this time is that the circulating supply is fully unlocked and the market cap is only $46 million, so it really is easy to pump.
So it may still surge, but at $0.13, the bullish trend remains intact while the price is halfway up the mountain.
Either wait for a return to around $0.12, or wait for $0.147 to hold on a 4-hour close.
For the stretch in between, just watch.
A narrative without a product launch: the faster it rises, the harder it falls.
With a $46 million market cap, the market treats it as a lottery ticket. If you insist on valuing it like a platform, that is not investing—it is a donation.
