The Fed goes quiet, earnings take center stage, PMI wraps up: “volatility harvesting week” is here
From October 17 to 29, the Fed is in its pre-FOMC blackout period, when officials are barred from publicly commenting on monetary policy. In his final speech before the blackout, Warsh explicitly rejected the very idea of “forward guidance.”
The market has lost what it relied on most over the past decade: officials’ remarks as its traditional navigation system.
Pricing power has been handed entirely to data and corporate earnings. Meta and Tesla report after Wednesday’s close, initial jobless claims come Thursday, and Friday brings the preliminary PMI and final University of Michigan consumer sentiment reading. Any result above expectations could amplify volatility—because there will be no officials to “reassure” or “correct course.”
The probability of no rate hike in October is 83.9%.
Looks settled, right?
Look at December: the probability of a 25-basis-point rate hike is 77.3%.
The market is betting that “nothing happens this month,” but pricing in “trouble at year-end.” September CPI at 3.7% and PPI at 6.3% gave Warsh no reason to “soften his stance.” The gap between “safe this month” and “the trend is dangerous” is the source of all this week’s volatility.
BTC is seesawing around $80,000, with $81,603 as key short-term support. But holding that level doesn’t mean it’s safe; it only means “it hasn’t broken yet.” “Not broken yet” and “a buying opportunity” are two different things. The sentiment index moving from fear back to neutral isn’t a signal to add to positions; it’s a signal to check them.
That $97 million long with 40x leverage has lost $9.77 million over the past 7 days, with a 16.67% win rate, and its available margin has already hit zero. It wasn’t wrong about the direction; it just didn’t wait for the market to prove it right. In a week packed with earnings and PMI releases, the cost of holding on isn’t losses—it’s being wiped out.
BTC’s front-month implied volatility is 33.5%, 4 percentage points below realized volatility, with options pricing at a five-year low. In other words: the market is pricing volatility itself very cheaply right now. If you want to bet on a big move after earnings, buying options (buying volatility) has a much clearer risk profile than opening a futures position (betting on direction). If you get the direction wrong, you lose the premium; if you get it right, your futures position may already be gone.
The easiest mistake for retail traders to make during earnings week isn’t getting the direction wrong; it’s opening a position so large that they have to be right.
Of the $948 million in liquidations, 90.6% were longs. Most weren’t beaten by the market; they were beaten by their own leverage.
When the Fed goes quiet, the market is most likely to scare itself.
The goal this week isn’t to catch the biggest move, but to make sure that when volatility subsides, your position structure still lets you keep playing. #美國9月PPI大超預期 #GateWCTCS9全球交易賽 #Gate兩大幣種合約成交額躋全球前三 $ETH $TSLA $BTC

The CLARITY Act has been stalled in the Senate, and White House official Patrick Witt has also left after his term expired.
New SEC Chairman Paul Atkins hurriedly posted on X to fill the gap, saying he would take over and continue advancing the crypto regulatory framework.
Honestly, this is quite a show.
On the surface, Atkins stepped forward to reassure the market, but the more I look at it, the more something feels off—
The legislation just hit a dead end, key White House positions are rotating, and the SEC suddenly stepped up to say it wants to build a comprehensive regulatory structure. However you look at it, it seems like an attempt to seize the narrative during a power vacuum.
Everyone is watching to see whether the CLARITY Act can pass, but the real rules of the game may already be changing through agencies' own temporary exemptions and detailed rules.
Not long ago, Atkins had just opened a temporary window for tokenized stocks, and that move went far too smoothly.
Most people are still waiting for macro tailwinds to materialize, but the capital may have figured it out already: whether the bill passes is not important. What matters for the next round of cutting losses or taking profits is how regulators use administrative power to decide who gets absorbed into the system and who is kept out.
Those who understand, understand. This is no regulatory protection—it's clearly a liquidation of slots.

BTC can't hold steady, ETFs are seeing outflows, and sentiment is sliding from neutral toward fear. In this climate, any real selling pressure worth tens of millions of dollars doesn't need the project team to "dump"; holders rushing for the exits on their own is enough to give prices a rough time.
If you hold any of the tokens on the list, don't fool yourself into thinking "I'm bullish long term" will get you through this week. SOL is testing support after a rough pullback, and this zone could decide the next move.
$SOL ‌ has dropped from $124.99 to around $103.76, with sellers still controlling the daily structure. The Supertrend sits at $117.79, so bulls have work to do before the trend turns constructive again.
Key levels:
Support: $100–$103
Major support: $95–$97
Resistance: $107–$111
Trend reclaim: $117.80
Recovery targets: $120 → $125
Holding $100 could give buyers room to build a recovery. Lose that zone, and $95 becomes the next level to watch.
SOL is an important area, but a proper reclaim matters more than a small bounce.

Q4, Thanksgiving, and the Santa Claus rally are coming!
Over the past nearly 100 years, stocks have risen 60% of the time during Thanksgiving week and 70% of the time during Christmas week.
Why do U.S. stocks sometimes tend to rise at year-end? Tax-loss selling winds down, institutions engage in window dressing, buyback windows reopen, and year-end bonuses and 401k contributions flow in. Add thin holiday trading, and even a little buying can push prices higher.

Would you dare buy SOL at $102?
It fell from 125 to 100, ETFs have seen net outflows for 10 straight days, and everyone online is shouting “SOL is over”—but on October 21, an upgrade that can cut confirmation times from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds is set to launch. Is this a dump by market makers using ETFs as cover, or one last shakeout before the upgrade?
First, the surface picture: fundamentals are solid, but money is flowing out.
Down 1-2% in 24 hours, and back from 125 to 100-102 over 30 days. It has fallen from its ATH of 293 to just a third of that. Market cap is about $60 billion, RSI has fallen to 36-39, near oversold territory, MACD is negative, and the daily chart is still in a downtrend. The candlestick chart says 100-102 is a key support zone, where the rising trendline, psychological level, and liquidation cluster converge—if it breaks, the next levels are 95 or even 90.
But wait.
First: ETFs are selling, while on-chain activity is surging. Which do you believe?
U.S. spot SOL ETFs have seen net outflows for about 10 straight days, at around $12.7 million on a single day, with AUM down to $1.62 billion. This is the direct reason the price can’t get going.
But look on-chain—
Active addresses hit 1.88 million, a 13-month high. Stablecoin transfer volume leads all chains. The RWA market grew 600% in a year, reaching $4.3 billion.
ETFs are selling sentiment; on-chain activity reflects real usage. Which do you think will bottom first?
Second: Is the Alpenglow upgrade a true revolution, or another case of “buy the rumor, sell the news”?
It goes live on mainnet on October 21, epoch 1064. Final confirmation time will drop from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds. Testing has been successful.
But there’s an iron law in crypto: once good news lands, it often marks a short-term top.
Before the SOL ecosystem exploded in 2021, no one believed it could challenge ETH. Before the 2024 meme season kicked off, no one believed SOL could break one million daily active users. Every time it’s “dump before the upgrade, take off after.”
Will this time be the same?
Third: Macro is weighing on the market, but can you handle SOL’s volatility?
The Fed raised rates in September to 3.75-4.00%. The FOMC is highly likely to pause on October 28, but CPI is running hot, and further hikes remain possible. BTC is also under pressure, with ETF outflows as well and capital flowing into AI.
In a high-interest-rate environment, high-beta coins take the hit first. SOL fell from 125 to 100, down 20%. How much has BTC fallen over the same period? SOL’s volatility feels great on the way up and hurts on the way down.
But think about it the other way—
Once the FOMC pauses, ETF outflows slow, and BTC stabilizes, SOL’s rebound could also far outpace BTC’s. If you can’t handle this 20% drawdown, you won’t catch the 50% rebound that follows.
Bulls versus bears—judge for yourself
On one side:
Alpenglow launches on October 21, with 150-millisecond confirmation and a major leap in performance
Active addresses hit a 13-month high of 1.88 million; RWA grew 600% in a year
RSI at 36-39, near oversold; triple support confluence at 100-102
Long liquidations are concentrated at 101-102, potentially triggering a short-squeeze rebound
On the other:
ETFs have seen net outflows for 10 straight days, with $12.7 million out in a single day
The Fed’s rate-hiking path remains unclear; the October 28 FOMC is a wildcard
The daily chart’s downtrend remains intact, and MACD is negative
A break below 100 could accelerate the drop to 95 or even 90
Key levels
Resistance above: 105 → 107-110 → 115-120
Support below: 100-102 (the bulls’ last line of defense) → 98-95 → 90
Trading strategy
Short-term traders:
Try a small long in the 100-102 range, with a 5-10% position and leverage of no more than 3-5x; stop loss at 98.5 (exit if it breaks 99). First target: 105-108; add if it breaks 110, targeting 115-120. Don’t chase—if you buy at 104, a pullback to 101 will make you panic.
Bears / sidelined traders:
If the 4H or daily chart breaks below 100 decisively and closes beneath it, exit and stay on the sidelines or take a small short position, targeting 95-97, then watch 90. But don’t chase shorts near 100—the support confluence is too strong, and a rebound could make you look foolish.
Medium-term players:
After Alpenglow goes live, watch the on-chain data. If active addresses keep rising and ETF outflows slow, 100-102 is a golden buying opportunity, with a target of 115-120. If the data doesn’t improve after the upgrade, cut your position decisively.
SOL now looks just like SOL in October 2023—
Back then it was $8, and everyone said, “A chain that keeps going down is beyond saving.” ETFs were nowhere in sight, and institutions wouldn’t touch it.
And then?
As soon as testing news about Firedancer, Alpenglow’s predecessor, came out, it shot straight from $8 to $200.

Gold at $4,165—have you been driven crazy?
It hit a wall at $4,200 three times, 10-year Treasury yields are crushing it at 5.1%, and everyone online is shouting “the gold bull market is dead”—but the PBOC has been quietly buying for 23 months, and oil has surged to $110. Who do you think is lying?
First, the surface picture: trapped between two directions, grinding away until you question your sanity.
Spot gold is now at $4,165, after closing around $4,163 on Friday, down for the week. It’s up a slight 0.4% over 24 hours, but has already pulled back 23% from its early-year high of $5,400+. The daily chart is stuck in a $4,100–$4,200 range, unable to break up or down. RSI is neutral at 51, moving averages are bearishly aligned, and all three attempts to break $4,200 were rejected.
You open the chart, and there’s only one thought in your head: What the hell is this thing trying to do?
Don’t rush. Today, I’ll spell it out.
First: What’s weighing on gold isn’t the dollar—it’s the blade of “real interest rates”
A lot of people think gold moves with the dollar. Wrong.
Over the past 20 days, gold’s negative correlation with 10-year Treasury yields was -0.44, and with real yields it was -0.36—both stronger than its correlation with the dollar.
In plain English: What’s really weighing on gold is the “opportunity cost” of putting your money in the bank and earning interest.
The 10-year Treasury yield is 5.1%, and the real yield on TIPS is close to 3%, the highest since 2008. Hold gold, and you earn no interest. Hold Treasuries, and you can sit back and collect 5%.
If it were you, which would you choose?
What stings even more is that the odds of a rate hike in December are still 85%. September CPI came in at 3.7%, above expectations, and PPI at 6.3%, far above expectations. Brent crude has surged to $110; inflation is nowhere near dead. The Fed already hiked rates in September to 3.75%–4.00%, its first hike in three years.
The market is betting: Your gold earns no yield, so I’ll just keep hiking until you hand over your chips.
That’s the real reason gold failed to break $4,200 three times. It’s not that the technicals are weak; it’s that money can earn money elsewhere.
Second: But there’s a group of buyers who don’t care about interest rates at all—they buy with their eyes shut
Who?
Central banks.
The PBOC added 23.02 tonnes of gold in September, buying for the 23rd consecutive month. Its monthly purchase was the largest of this buying cycle. Gold reserves stood at 2,409.59 tonnes at the end of September.
Twenty-three months. Tell me, what retail investor can hold for 23 months?
More importantly, China isn’t the only central bank buying. At the London Bullion Market Association annual meeting, the Bank of Italy said publicly that the gold market has undergone structural changes since 2022—with continued gold buying by emerging-market central banks weakening the traditional negative correlation between gold and real interest rates.
In plain English: Before, when rates rose, gold went down on its knees. Now central banks have welded the floor in place, and it can’t go down.
While retail investors stare at charts and curse, central banks are hauling gold bars home by the truckload.
Central banks don’t buy gold based on whether it will rise next month. They’re asking: Can the dollar’s credibility still be trusted? Who will fill the $38 trillion hole in U.S. debt? When will geopolitical conflict explode on my doorstep?
You trade charts; they’re positioning for the fate of their nations.
Third: The technical picture boils down to one thing—$4,200 is the line between life and death, and $4,160 is a fig leaf
All the indicators are saying the same thing: the $4,100–$4,200 range. Whoever breaks out first sets the direction.
Above: $4,200 (the psychological level it’s hit three times) → $4,242 (the 100-day moving average) → $4,331 (the 50-day moving average)
Below: $4,160 (the bull-bear dividing line) → $4,100 (the bottom of the range) → $4,073 → $4,000 (the hard floor at a round number)
FX168’s technical analysis puts it plainly: $4,160 is key support that will determine the direction from here. If gold breaks below $4,160 and holds beneath it, the next stop is $4,025.
But look at it the other way—
Gold has hit $4,200 three times, and each time, some people sold at a loss afterward. If it breaks above that level on strong volume the fourth time, those who sold at $4,150 will be the best fuel.
The cruelest part of range-bound trading: chase $4,200 and you get burned; sell at $4,100 and it rebounds. Get caught both ways, and your principal is gone.
The bull-bear showdown—judge for yourself
What the bears have:
Real yields at 3%, the highest since 2008, making the opportunity cost of holding gold enormous
85% odds of a December rate hike, already priced in by the market
10-year Treasury yields at 5.1%; your money earns money just sitting there
Three failed attempts to break $4,200; the technical picture is bearish
What the bulls have:
Central banks buying gold for 23 consecutive months, with 23 tonnes bought in September—the floor is welded in place
Oil at $110, inflation isn’t dead, and gold’s “insurance value” remains
The $4,160–$4,100 support zone has been tested repeatedly without a decisive break below
Jefferies maintains its $5,000 target for 2027, citing Treasury debt, deficits, inflation, and central bank gold buying
The bears are betting on the next three months. The bulls are betting on the next three years. They’re playing on different time horizons, so don’t mock each other.
Trading strategy
Short-term traders:
Don’t chase longs near $4,200 or shorts near $4,100. Chasing trades in a range is just giving your money away.
Try shorting at $4,180–$4,195, with a stop at $4,205 and targets at $4,150–$4,135.
Try a small long at $4,120–$4,135, with a stop at $4,100 and targets at $4,160–$4,180.
Only a decisive hold above $4,205 on strong volume merits talk of a trend reversal. Until it holds, every rebound is just noise within the range.
Medium-term investors:
Wait. Watch for two signals: the FOMC meeting at the end of October (the Fed will most likely hold, but watch its wording), and whether oil can come down from $110. If oil doesn’t fall, inflation expectations won’t ease, rate hike expectations won’t disappear, and gold won’t be able to lift its head.
If gold really gets knocked down to $4,000–$4,075, that’s a much more comfortable medium-term entry zone than $4,160. The central banks are waiting there—what are you afraid of?
Long-term allocators:
Gold’s role in your portfolio isn’t to “double in a month”; it’s to hedge against fiat currency depreciation and black swan events. If you believe someone will eventually have to pay for the $38 trillion hole in U.S. debt, and that geopolitical conflicts won’t simply disappear, then the difference between $4,160 and $4,000 is less than 4% over a three-year horizon.
Dollar-cost average, and don’t watch the screen. The more often you watch, the more you’ll be tempted to trade—and the fewer chips you’ll have left.
Gold right now looks just like BTC in 2023—everyone was saying “what use is this thing?” while central banks and smart money were quietly accumulating.

🔹 $2,475–$2,515: Reclaiming this range would be the first meaningful sign of renewed bullish momentum.

Would you buy SNDK at $1275?
SNDK at 1275: perpetuals hit the previous shorts’ target over the weekend, while the stock market hasn’t opened yet. If it gaps down on Monday, are you catching a falling knife or getting buried?
Perpetuals have reached the previous short sellers’ target zone, but the Nasdaq-listed stock hasn’t opened to confirm. In the short term, it’s halfway down in oversold territory; in the medium term, it’s still a deep correction in a major bull market. Leverage must come down before the October 29 earnings report.
First: ChangXin Memory is hitting DRAM, while SanDisk makes NAND—it’s the wrong target
From October 9-12, ChangXin Memory announced progress on 4F² DRAM and said it would launch server memory by year-end. The storage sector was hit across the board, with SanDisk down 6% on 10/12, followed by consecutive declines.
NAND price growth is slowing. Last quarter’s revenue was 8.97 billion, up 51% quarter over quarter, with two-thirds of the increase coming from higher prices; gross margin surged to 84.6%. Next quarter’s guidance shifted to “higher shipment volume + moderate price increases”—price hikes are no longer the only growth engine.
Buyers funding AI capital spending are starting to run short of cash. Bond yields for new cloud providers like CoreWeave have surged to 15%-16%, and the market is asking: can they keep borrowing to buy flash memory?
The market has never hit you because “you’re wrong”; it hits you because “you’re not good enough.”
Second: 1270 is someone else’s take-profit zone, not your dip-buying zone
The previous shorts’ targets: 1400 first, then 1270. The first target was hit long ago; the second is right beneath us now.
From 10/16 to 10/17, long liquidations far outnumbered short liquidations; leverage has already been flushed once. Funding rates have flattened to near 0—this isn’t a spot with “a lot more short fuel left.”
Open new shorts? Terrible risk-reward. 1270 is where others take profit; shorting here means carrying the shorts’ bags.
The weekly RSI is 49; it hasn’t been flushed out enough. The October 29 earnings report is a landmine. If gross margin turns down from 85%, 1270 won’t hold; below that is 1130, with 1000 in a deeper decline.
Third: The October 29 earnings report isn’t about “whether it made money,” but whether gross margin has turned
Company guidance: revenue of 10.3-10.8 billion, adjusted gross margin of 83%-85%, EPS of 44-46. Market expectations are revenue of 10.6 billion and EPS of 46.2. Last quarter’s actual EPS was 39.25, about 12% above expectations.
If gross margin falls below 83%, or management admits NAND prices have flattened or even declined quarter over quarter, 1270 won’t hold; below that is 1130, with 1000 in a deeper decline.
If both revenue and gross margin come in at the high end of guidance and prices are still rising, reclaiming 1410 would turn the previous shorts’ target into the starting point for a short squeeze, with 1500 in sight.
Bulls and bears face off—you decide
On one side:
1275 is near the 50% retracement at 1247; the previous shorts’ target has been reached
Daily/4-hour RSI below 30, funding rates near 0
The stock is up about 790% over the past year; the medium-term thesis remains intact: Kioxia partnership, BiCS8, high-bandwidth AI flash
Analyst price targets range from about 1400 to 3600, with even the low end above the current price
On the other side:
Daily moving averages are in a bearish alignment, with price below MA7 at about 1410, MA25 at about 1630, and MA99 at about 1550
Weekly RSI is about 49; it hasn’t been flushed out enough, looking more like the first substantial pullback in a major uptrend
NAND price growth is slowing, and gross margin is at historical extremes
The October 29 earnings report is a landmine; high interest rates weigh on valuation and AI buyers’ financing
Market cap is about 188 billion, with a PE of about 17—19x, but a cyclical stock’s static PE isn’t a safety cushion
A 17x PE isn’t a safety cushion. Cyclical stocks look cheap relative to their windfall profits; when those profits reverse, even a 17x PE can be cut further.
Trading strategy
1. Don’t open new shorts at the current price.
1270 is someone else’s take-profit zone. Shorts should wait for a failed rebound: a high-volume upper wick at 1360—1410, or a rally to 1470—1500 followed by a sell-off. Place the stop about 2% above that rebound high. First target: 1270, then 1215; if the daily close falls below 1210, look to 1130.
2. Only take longs on two rebound setups; don’t trade based on “feeling oversold.”
If 1215—1245 is retested and forms a lower wick without making a new low, enter with a small position. Stop out if the close, or consecutive 4-hour candles, lose 1208. First trim at 1305, second at 1360; hold the rest to 1470 only if it gets above 1410.
Alternatively, enter after a 4-hour close above 1310, followed by a retest that holds. This is a confirmed long, not a bottom-fishing trade. Set the stop below 1270.
If going long immediately, keep the position very small: the upside to 1305 is about the same as the downside to 1208, so the risk-reward is mediocre.
3. Reduce directional leverage before earnings.
After October 27, reduce leverage to 1—2x or move entirely to cash. After the market close on October 29, if gross margin is below 83%, or management admits NAND prices have flattened or even declined quarter over quarter, 1270 won’t hold; below that is 1130, with 1000 in a deeper decline. If both revenue and gross margin come in at the high end of guidance, and management confirms prices are still rising, reclaiming 1410 would turn the previous shorts’ target into the starting point for a short squeeze, with 1500 in sight.
4. Set the invalidation levels in stone.
If the daily close falls below 1210, the 50% retracement has failed; invalidate all rebound longs and keep only shorts on failed rebounds. If the daily close gets above 1410 and holds, the short-term bearish structure is broken—stop shorting rallies.
The weekly RSI at 49 tells you: this isn’t the bottom; it’s halfway down.
1275 tells you: the previous shorts’ target has been reached, but the bulls haven’t gotten confirmation yet.#美国9月PPI大超预期 #GateWCTCS9全球交易赛 #Gate两大币种合约成交额跻全球前三 $BTC $SNDK $ETH

ZEC at $1,125: are you buying the dip or running for your life?
From $1,697 down to $1,125, 30% wiped out, ETF funds seeing consecutive net outflows, and everyone online shouting “the privacy coin bubble has burst”—but just as everyone panics, the NU7 upgrade decision enters its countdown on October 20. Is this a shakeout by whales ahead of the upgrade, or has it really peaked?
First, the surface picture: bad news is piling up, but the price hasn’t completely collapsed.
Down 4% in 24 hours, down 23–28% in 30 days, and a 30%+ pullback from the September high of $1,697. Market cap of $19 billion, ranked in the top 10. The candlestick chart tells you: lower highs and lower lows on the daily chart, RSI at 42, neutral to weak, price below short-term moving averages, funding rate at +0.01% with longs still paying—every indicator is saying one thing: short-term bearish, with $1,100 as the last line of defense.
But wait.
Are you sure this decline is a “trend reversal,” or the “final shakeout before an event”?
The NU7 upgrade decision is on October 20. Do you think the whales will pump the price before the upgrade, or dump it to accumulate?
First: ETF assets fell from $900 million to $625 million—is that an exit or a rotation?
The Grayscale ZCSH spot ETF, listed on August 25, once saw its AUM surge to nearly $900 million, but it has now fallen back to $625 million. It recorded $1.22 million in net outflows on October 16, with even larger redemptions in the days before.
Sounds scary?
But have you considered that ETF outflows don’t mean institutions are bearish—it could just be “waiting on the sidelines before the event.”
The NU7 upgrade decision isn’t until October 20, and activation is scheduled for November 5. No institution will make a big directional bet ahead of a major event.
Short-term traders are exiting; long-term capital is staying put, waiting for the upgrade to go live.
The market always panics before an event and chases prices afterward. Which group do you think you belong to?
Second: The NU7 upgrade is the real script behind this rally
Testnet activated on October 4. Key changes:
Block time cut from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, tripling confirmation speed
NSM mechanism: some fees go into reserves, strengthening deflationary properties
v4 transactions disabled, funds in the Sprout pool become unspendable
Mainnet decision on October 20, target activation on November 5.
In plain English:
ZEC is transforming from an “old-school privacy coin” into a “privacy settlement layer that’s 3x faster.”
This isn’t just hype—the testnet is already running.
If the upgrade goes smoothly, $1,125 is a golden buying opportunity.
If it’s delayed or runs into problems, $1,050 or even $1,000 could be the bottom.
Are you willing to bet?
Third: The technicals are at a make-or-break level
Support: $1,120–$1,125 (current), $1,099–$1,100 (24-hour low), $1,078–$1,080 (recent low), $1,050–$1,000 (psychological level)
Resistance: $1,175–$1,180 (recent high), $1,200–$1,230, $1,288 (key recovery level)
Key rules:
Hold $1,100 → event-driven rebound, target $1,200+
Break below $1,100 → accelerated drop toward $1,050–$1,000
Hold above $1,200 → short-term downside pressure lifts, eye $1,288
Bulls versus bears—you decide
On one side:
NU7 upgrade decision on October 20, activation on November 5; clear event catalyst
3x block speed, deflationary NSM mechanism
Privacy narrative continues to strengthen in the age of AI surveillance
Top 10 by market cap, with ample liquidity
The weekly chart still retains its broader bullish structure
On the other:
Consecutive ETF net outflows, weak short-term capital flows
Daily downtrend, with lower highs and lower lows
BTC at $82,000 is neutral; altcoins are broadly underperforming
Regulatory uncertainty; privacy coins are inherently volatile
Pre-event caution is weighing on prices
Trading strategies
Short-term traders:
Try a small, low-leverage long in the $1,100–$1,120 range, with a stop-loss below $1,080 (exit if it breaks $1,078). First target: $1,175–$1,180; add if it breaks $1,200, targeting $1,288.
If the rebound hits resistance at $1,175–$1,200 on insufficient volume, consider a small short, targeting $1,100–$1,080. Use 2–5x leverage, with risk per trade no more than 1–2% of total capital.
Swing traders:
Wait for the NU7 decision on October 20. If it progresses smoothly and the price holds above $1,200 → add and target $1,288+. If it’s delayed or runs into problems → wait to accumulate in batches at $1,050–$1,080. This is an event-driven market; waiting for confirmation is safer than betting on direction.
Long-term believers:
$1,050–$1,080 is a zone for building a position in batches. ZEC is a leader in the privacy sector, with a 21 million cap and 29% of its supply in the Shielded pool. If you believe demand for privacy will explode in the AI era, this price isn’t expensive. But don’t expect it to go crazy like AI coins—it’s a slow bull, an event-driven slow bull.
ZEC right now is like LTC before the 2024 halving—
Everyone is focused on “ETF outflows,” “bearish technicals,” and “regulatory risks,” but after the halving took effect, it went from $60 to $130.
The clearest opportunities are always hidden in “the most uncertain moment before an event.”#美国9月PPI大超预期 #GateWCTCS9全球交易赛 #Gate两大币种合约成交额跻全球前三 $BTC $ETH $ZEC
