#Web3SecurityGuide The Biggest Risk Is Often the Human Layer
THE SECURITY NUMBERS ARE GETTING HARDER TO IGNORE
Web3 security is no longer only about smart-contract bugs or blockchain vulnerabilities. The first half of 2026 shows how quickly attackers are adapting. CertiK recorded more than $1.31 billion in losses across 344 Web3 security incidents, with approximately $1.20 billion remaining after frozen and recovered funds were accounted for.
WALLETS ARE THE BIGGEST PRESSURE POINT

WEB3 SECURITY IN 2026: THE BIGGEST RISK MAY BE HUMAN ERROR
Web3 security is no longer just a question of whether blockchain technology can resist an attack. As the digital-asset economy expands, attackers are increasingly targeting something much easier to exploit: people, credentials and attention.
The numbers from 2025 and the first half of 2026 show why security discipline has become essential.
THE SCALE OF THE PROBLEM
2025 produced some of the industry's largest recorded losses. Chainalysis estimated that more than $3.4 billion in cryptocurrency was stolen during the year, while CertiK recorded approximately $3.35 billion in confirmed losses across 630 incidents.
The pressure continued into 2026.
CertiK documented around $1.31 billion in gross losses across 344 incidents during H1 2026. After accounting for funds frozen or recovered, adjusted losses were approximately $1.20 billion.
That is not simply a technical problem. It is a reminder that large amounts of capital naturally attract increasingly sophisticated attacks.
WHERE THE BIGGEST LOSSES ARE COMING FROM
One of the most important lessons from the H1 data is that the most damaging attacks are not necessarily the most technically complex.
Wallet compromises accounted for approximately $444.5 million across 33 incidents, making them the largest loss category.
Phishing followed with roughly $366.3 million across 63 incidents.
Code vulnerabilities were much more frequent, exceeding 200 incidents, but generated approximately $151.6 million in losses.
The contrast is revealing.
Attackers can potentially cause enormous damage without breaking blockchain cryptography. Obtaining credentials, manipulating users or gaining access to wallets can be enough.
THE HUMAN ATTACK SURFACE
Phishing remains particularly dangerous because fraudulent websites, messages and transactions can closely resemble legitimate activity.
Address-poisoning attacks add another layer. These scams use look-alike wallet addresses or tiny transactions to manipulate transaction history and increase the chance that someone copies the wrong address later.
Cross-chain bridges also remain attractive targets because they connect different blockchain environments while often handling significant amounts of value.
Even major incidents demonstrate that security failures can involve operational and human weaknesses rather than the underlying cryptography simply being “broken.”
THE SECURITY CHECKLIST
Protecting digital assets starts with controlling access.
Your private keys and seed phrase should never be shared. Never enter recovery information into an unfamiliar website, message or application, and avoid keeping sensitive wallet credentials on internet-connected devices.
For long-term holdings, many users prefer non-custodial storage because it provides direct control over private keys. Trading activity, meanwhile, should be conducted through established platforms with strong security practices.
But even the best wallet cannot protect a user who approves a malicious transaction.
Before signing anything, verify the website, inspect the transaction, confirm wallet addresses and understand exactly what permission is being granted.
SECURITY IS A DAILY HABIT
Keep wallet applications, browsers and operating systems updated. Software updates frequently include important security fixes.
Be especially careful with unexpected links, urgent messages, unfamiliar token approvals and requests for recovery phrases.
A simple pause before clicking or signing can prevent a potentially irreversible mistake.
THERE IS SOME POSITIVE NEWS
The security picture is not entirely negative.
During H1 2026, projects and security teams helped freeze or recover approximately $115 million in stolen funds, while broader defensive measures prevented additional losses.
Bug-bounty programs have also become an increasingly important part of Web3 security, rewarding researchers who identify vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them.
THE REAL 2026 SECURITY LESSON
The biggest takeaway is straightforward:
Technology creates the security foundation. Discipline protects the user.
Billions of dollars are moving through Web3, making the ecosystem an increasingly valuable target. Strong cryptography, audits and security systems matter, but they cannot compensate for a compromised seed phrase, a careless transaction approval or a convincing phishing attempt.
Verify before signing. Protect your credentials offline. Question unexpected requests. Keep software updated. And treat every transaction as something that deserves your full attention.
In 2026, the strongest security tool may still be the simplest one: stop, verify, then act.

$BTC From the past 1.5 months, price has been forming these un-swept levels,
Which are engineering liquidity on the downside,
And looking at the overall structure now, I think we are ready to break below and hunt all that liquidity.
Price also cleared the internal liquidity at 65.4k and rejected from there.
Now the next major hunt is gonna be, price breaking below that trendline and collect all the liquidity below.
On the LTF, we still have EQHs at 64.5k, so it's still possible we might see a push to there and then dump straight down after sweeping it,
But those EQHs can also be frontrun, tha

We’ve heard the “liquidity hunting” talk so many times, but every time it seems like a dump is coming, it pulls back. Can it really go down this time, or is it once again just selling small traders a pipe dream?

THE BIGGEST RISK IN CRYPTO ISN’T ALWAYS THE CHART — SOMETIMES IT’S THE PIPELINE.
Traders spend hours studying support, resistance, liquidity and indicators, but security often gets only a few seconds of attention. That is backwards, because a perfect trade means nothing if the infrastructure around your money is compromised.
A bank card can suddenly stop working. A transfer can be delayed or rejected. A legitimate C2C transaction can become complicated because of the counterparty or payment trail. In these situations, the problem is no longer whether BTC goes up or down; i

$PRL Signal】Bulls continue to control the market, with favorable price-volume coordination
$PRL 1H MACD bullish momentum continues, but the histogram is steadily narrowing, showing signs of high-level stagnation; the 4H Bollinger upper band at 0.3870 is exerting clear resistance, while the 4H RSI has reached 75.86. The short-term risk-reward for chasing longs is not attractive, and the market's gains are beginning to moderate, but the trend structure remains dominated by bulls.

Web3 Fund Movement: The 5-Minute Pre-Flight Checklist That Saves Accounts
Most frozen accounts aren’t hacked they’re flagged by predictable behavioral patterns. Risk controls don’t target criminals; they target anomalies. Here’s my personal pre-flight protocol for deposits/withdrawals that keeps funds flowing without triggering automated systems. No theory, just practiced discipline. 👇

PGG/USDT — 1H MARKET UPDATE 📊 | Price Action in Focus
PGG/USDT is currently trading around $144.58, showing a modest +0.12% move on the 1-hour chart. Price action is relatively calm, with the market consolidating around the $144.50–$144.80 area after a volatile move between the visible $143.66 low and $145.90 high.
The short-term moving averages are tightly grouped: MA5 ≈ $144.55, MA10 ≈ $144.59 and MA30 ≈ $144.56. This alignment suggests that momentum is currently balanced rather than strongly directional. Traders should therefore watch the next clean breakout instead of reacting to small ca

#OpenAIAnnualRevenueSurpasses40B : What This Milestone Really Means for the AI Industry
OpenAI has reached another remarkable milestone in the global artificial intelligence race, with its annualized revenue run rate reportedly surpassing $40 billion. This figure highlights just how quickly AI has moved from an emerging technology into a major commercial industry with enormous economic potential.
One important clarification: the $40 billion figure refers to an annualized revenue run rate, rather than $40 billion already recognized as revenue over a completed 12-month accounting period. In othe

While organizing my wallets today, I suddenly found that one wallet still had funds deposited in Karak that I hadn’t withdrawn.
It feels like something from ages ago. The project was very popular back then and claimed to be comparable to EigenLayer.
I had deposited over $200 in several wallets, hoping to get a guaranteed minimum allocation.
Who could have known that this project would keep going further and further down a one-way road?
After v1, it released v2, switched from restaking to a public blockchain, and eventually changed the entire project.
It slowly played itself to death.

July gave Gate growth.
But the real question is: where did that growth come from?
Gate’s expansion wasn’t driven by one product. It spread across Spot, Derivatives, RWA, Stocks, Pre-IPO and Prediction Markets.
One figure deserves attention: 4.39% global CEX market share in July.
That number may look small.
It isn’t.
In a market moving billions daily even a fraction of a percentage point represents meaningful capital flow.
And here’s the contrarian angle:
Volume alone can mislead.
If the entire crypto market grows, an exchange can post higher volume without actually gaining ground.
