94 of the 100 CoinDesk 100 constituents closed higher over the past 24 hours.
Futures open interest climbed from approximately $59.7 billion on Monday to $64.4 billion, while about $214 million was liquidated over the past day.
Simply put: this looks more like leveraged chasing of gains, rather than an “air rally” after short covering.
My take: Broad-based gains do not equal a full bull market. Small-cap heat + rising OI is often earlier and more fragile than spot flows.
