🇺🇸 A particularly sophisticated scam campaign is currently targeting crypto holders in the United States.
Victims receive a genuine physical letter that almost perfectly imitates a letter from the IRS (the US tax service), asking them to sign up for a purported “Digital Asset Compliance Portal” by scanning a QR code.
The IRS has confirmed that this portal does not exist and that these letters are fraudulent.
The QR code leads to a fake website designed to collect personal and crypto-related information.

📈 Strategy is back in the green, showing more than $190 million in unrealized gains.
The company now holds 840,447 Bitcoin, acquired at an average price of approximately $75,385.
The situation is much less favorable for BitMine, with its 5,815,164 ETH acquired at around $3,366 each.

🇫🇷 A couple was held captive and kidnapped in Landes in an attempt to steal their Bitcoin and crypto. Two individuals arrested.
During the night of August 10 to 11, several individuals allegedly entered the victims’ home in Rion-des-Landes at around 4 a.m.
After threatening them to obtain their crypto, the attackers allegedly kidnapped them.
The man was later found naked and suffering from several lacerations in Solférino, while his partner was reportedly found in a car in another department.
