#韩林博士受邀牛津大学辩论社演讲 From 61 Million Users to Global Payments: Can Gate Money Make Digital Finance More Practical?
The future of money is no longer just about how people buy, sell, or hold digital assets. The bigger challenge is connecting digital finance with the everyday activities that matter most: receiving payments, transferring money across borders, exchanging currencies, and accessing financial services efficiently.
On November 12, 2026, Dr. Lin Han, founder and CEO of Gate, is scheduled to speak at the Oxford Union at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. According to the officia

#韩林博士受邀牛津大学辩论社演讲 #GateMoney Dr. Han Lin at the Oxford Union: Can Gate Money Help Redefine the Future of Global Finance?
On November 12, 2026, Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han Lin is scheduled to speak at the Oxford Union, one of the world's best-known debating societies. The official event listing places his appearance from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the University of Oxford. The discussion will focus on crypto, the future of money and the role Gate Money could play in the global movement of value.
This is an important conversation because the next stage of digital finance will not be determined by trading activity alone. Its real test will be whether people and businesses can move, receive, manage and use money more efficiently across different financial systems.
Gate Money moves the discussion beyond crypto trading
On October 7, Gate announced the launch of Gate Money, an integrated financial services application connecting digital assets, fiat currencies, stocks, ETFs, gold, banking services and payments within the Gate ecosystem. The product aims to bring more financial activities into one account rather than requiring users to move between separate services for every task.
For eligible users in supported regions, Gate Money also offers the ability to apply for electronic bank accounts in their own names. Gate has stated that its service supports receiving payments in more than 60 local currencies, although availability depends on regional eligibility and the applicable service conditions.
The significance is not simply the number of assets available. It is the potential to connect different stages of a financial journey: receiving money, converting currencies, managing assets and making payments.
However, integration alone does not guarantee cheaper transfers, faster settlement or universal access. Those outcomes must be evaluated through actual fees, processing times, supported countries and the reliability of the underlying financial infrastructure.
The real challenge: making digital value useful in everyday life
Crypto has demonstrated that digital assets can move between blockchain addresses without relying on traditional payment rails for every transfer. Yet mainstream financial use requires more than on-chain transfers. Users also need dependable fiat conversion, clear transaction records, appropriate safeguards and access to regulated banking partners where required.
Cross-border payments illustrate the opportunity. A freelancer receiving international income, a business paying overseas suppliers or a family transferring funds internationally may care less about the technology behind a transaction than about its total cost, arrival time and certainty.
Gate Money's longer-term potential will therefore depend on how effectively it connects digital assets with practical financial services. Transparent pricing, clear settlement expectations, reliable customer support and strong account security will be essential measures of progress.
Five questions worth asking Dr. Han Lin
First, what measurable improvements does Gate Money aim to deliver in cross-border transfers, including total fees, settlement times and currency-conversion costs?
Second, how will Gate balance a unified financial experience with regional regulations, banking-partner requirements and differences in payment infrastructure?
Third, what protections will users have if a transfer is delayed, a payment is disputed or an account is compromised?
Fourth, how does Gate plan to make its services accessible to people who are new to crypto without exposing them to unnecessary complexity or financial risk?
Finally, what measurable milestones will demonstrate that Gate Money is becoming a practical financial utility rather than simply another feature within a crypto platform?
These questions focus on outcomes that users can evaluate, not just ambitious promises about the future.
My perspective: utility will determine the next chapter
The future of money will likely involve multiple systems operating together: traditional bank accounts, digital payment networks, tokenised assets and blockchain-based settlement. The challenge is making these systems work together without sacrificing transparency, security or user choice.
Gate Money represents Gate's effort to expand beyond exchange services into a broader financial experience. Its success should ultimately be measured by practical results: how easily eligible users can access the service, how clearly costs are disclosed, how reliably transactions are completed and how effectively customer assets and information are protected.
Dr. Han Lin's upcoming Oxford Union appearance offers an opportunity to address these questions in a setting built around debate and critical thinking. The most valuable outcome would not simply be a prediction about where crypto is heading, but a clearer explanation of how digital finance can solve real problems for people and businesses.
If I had one opportunity to ask Dr. Han Lin a question, I would ask this:
“What measurable results should users expect from Gate Money over the next three years in cross-border payment costs, settlement speed and financial accessibility, and how will Gate publicly demonstrate that progress?”
Because the future of money should be judged not only by how innovative the technology is, but by how reliably it serves the people who use it.

$BTC There is a decent amount of liquidity sitting right above the recent highs.
The longer price keeps holding above the range lows, the more realistic a sweep of that cluster becomes.
So far, every attempt to push lower has been bought back up relatively quickly, while this liquidity above price continues to remain untouched.
As long as buyers keep defending the range lows, I therefore continue to favor a move into this cluster instead of any larger continuation to the downside.

#USCPISoon: Bitcoin, Gold & U.S. Stocks — My Complete CPI Prediction for October 14, 2026
The next major market catalyst is approaching, and traders are preparing for a potentially volatile session.
Today's U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) report could change expectations for Federal Reserve policy and influence Bitcoin, technology stocks, gold, the U.S. dollar, and Treasury yields.
My personal view is cautiously bullish on Bitcoin, but I want price confirmation before treating that outlook as a trade signal. The market must prove its direction after the numbers arrive.

Sharing my own quantitative strategy
In September, with the assistance of an agent, I validated a large number of previous strategies and ultimately concluded that no strategy can achieve long-term profitability using free public data alone😓. I then focused on cross-sectional coin-selection strategies across the entire market and eventually found a fairly good machine-learning-based hedging strategy. Without any leverage, the strategy achieved an annualized return of 57.9% · MaxDD −8.6% (complete historical data for cryptocurrency futures contracts)

GNS is genuinely going crazy this time, more than doubling in a single day. Its market cap has only just climbed back above $17 million, so it’s still a small-cap bungee jump. 🎢
After the move on the 15-minute chart, volume has clearly tapered off. The price is now moving sideways around 0.73, while MA7 and MA25 are beginning to converge. There’s minor resistance at 0.858 overhead. Chasing in at this level could easily leave you stranded at the top in the short term.
BTC is still hovering around $82,000, and ETFs still saw net outflows last week. The Fear and Greed Index is stuck at neutral,

The most important thing today is ASML’s earnings report
I really like the logic of $asml
It is at the very upstream of the entire AI industry, and it is clear how much it can earn
Earnings for the next ten or twenty years should basically remain stable

ASML’s EUV moat is very strong
Even if China develops it, it would be difficult to fundamentally affect orders

$BTC The narrative into the 14th is definitely more bearish than bullish.
We’ve seen two hunts of 81K. The latest came late last night during the Asian session and was bought up almost immediately after stops were taken below the lows.
That makes me think we’re more likely to see a bullish reaction shortly after the 14th, carrying through the rest of the month. Another hunt of the highs toward 87-88K is possible.

The BTC short at 84,000 has been filled. It's at 83,500 now, with a stop-loss at 85,000 and a target of 82,000. If it breaks below that, watch 80,200.
Yesterday at 4:30 p.m., it surged to 84,074 and was knocked back immediately, so the short entry was filled right there.
This is already the fourth time it has been capped at 84,000. The day before yesterday, it surged three times—to 84,072, 84,163, and 84,231—while yesterday's fourth attempt only reached 84,074.
The highs of the first three attempts kept getting higher, but this time it started to turn lower.

Why Don’t Smart Traders Rush to Bet Before the CPI Release?
Before every U.S. CPI release, there are always two schools of thought in the market: one believes traders should position themselves in advance and enter before the move begins; the other insists on waiting for the data to be released, confirming the direction before taking action.
Which approach is smarter?
The advantage of positioning early is the opportunity to secure a better entry before the market reprices. If the judgment is correct, the potential gains can be considerable once the price breaks out rapidly.
The problem, howeve
