Because a coin’s price increase, the return on a position, and the return on the entire account are not the same number.
Suppose your account has 1000U in total. You use 200U to buy spot, while the remaining 800U is not used for trading. The coin you bought rises 10%, so that position grows from 200U to 220U, earning 20U.
