#WCTCS9 #每周来晒 Gold poised for a breakout, silver under pressure after breaking down, and oil taking aim at $100! Which will break the deadlock first?
On Friday (October 16), gold, silver, and oil showed clearly divergent technical trends for the week: gold continued to consolidate near support in the “green zone” between $4,110 and $4,170, silver remained under bearish pressure after breaking below a key level, while oil extended its climb above $95, forming a new bullish advance.
Gold holds its support range Gold is still trading near the $4,110–$4,170 support area. Price action suggests that

🛢️ ExxonMobil, Citgo, and P2P: What the market is really watching.
Economist José Toro Hardy has once again stressed an uncomfortable idea: when crude gets jittery, attention turns to the Caribbean—a country with no history of wars, enormous proven reserves, and a production ceiling that no one has reached in a decade. The interest is there, the discussions are there, but the signed contracts aren’t enough to sustain the production surge everyone is expecting.
His conclusion: without financial firepower, there’s no drilling. And the name he keeps bringing up is ExxonMobil—not out of affection

Bitcoin saw a sharp wick-like drop this morning, hitting a low near 80700 before quickly rebounding and rallying strongly. It surged above 82000 at its peak, gaining nearly 1300 points in a one-way move, and is now trading around 81800 after a pullback.
Although Bitcoin quickly rebounded after the morning wick down to 80700 and rallied above 82000, this was essentially more of an emotional bounce after a sharp drop than a confirmation that the trend had strengthened. After a one-way rally of nearly 1300 points, the price failed to hold above 82000 and soon pulled back to around 81800, indicati

Gold rebounds to 4150, while BTC is still struggling at 80000—who is really hedging inflation?
Around Warsh's remarks, one divergence stood out: gold rebounded, while BTC kept falling.
Spot gold rose more than 1% to around $4,156. The US Dollar Index slipped to around 102.03, and the 10-year Treasury yield plunged 13.7 basis points to 5.053%, a three-week low. Safe-haven demand amid a global stock sell-off outweighed the impact of hotter-than-expected inflation data.‌
What about BTC? It fell 3.6% to around 81,500, with a 24-hour low of 80,443. 80,000 remains a key support zone.‌

#CryptoMarketTurnsGreedy
The cryptocurrency market is showing signs of growing optimism as investor sentiment shifts toward greed. When traders become more confident about future price movements, buying activity can increase, momentum-driven strategies can attract attention, and more investors may begin looking for opportunities across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoins. However, a shift toward greed is not automatically a signal that prices will continue rising. It can indicate strengthening demand, but it can also warn that the market is becoming overheated.

Solana Stablecoin Transfers Hit 557M in September, Up 33% MoM
At The real signal is not just higher activity-it is Solana tightening its grip on stablecoin payment throughput, with 18.6 million daily transfers putting network usage back at the center of the on-chain liquidity trade. Near term, watch whether this transaction momentum persists and translates into sustained demand for Solana-based applications; longer term, stablecoin settlement share is becoming a key scoreboard for which chains capture real-world transaction flow.

I made two mistakes before Warsh’s speech and am writing them down as a reminder to myself

Before Warsh’s speech, I did two things that, in hindsight, were both mistakes.

First mistake: I moved my BTC stop-loss from 80,800 to 80,200 ahead of time. I thought, “Warsh might sound hawkish, so I’ll give the market a little more room.” In the end, Warsh said nothing, and BTC didn’t move sharply. But by lowering my stop-loss, if the market had actually fallen, I would have lost an extra $600. I made this change because “I think the market might be volatile,” not because of any supporting data or

Iran opens fire, Afghanistan and Pakistan exchange fire, Ukraine’s energy facilities attacked: The world is watching what crude oil will do next week
This weekend has been anything but peaceful. On Friday, Trump’s declaration that he would attack Iran’s nuclear facilities sent oil prices soaring to $110, and gold, U.S. stocks, and crypto all pulled back. Unexpectedly, conflicts continued to flare around the world over the weekend, making a higher open for oil next week all but certain. How risk assets perform next week may well depend on oil.

October 2026, nicknamed “Uptober” (traditionally a bullish month for digital assets), has plenty of surprises in store for investors this time around. Bitcoin is holding around $81,000 – $82,500, showing local resilience after a recent shock triggered by US macroeconomic data. A difficult year-long correction from last fall’s all-time high of $126,000 is now behind us, and the market is trying to find a solid bottom.
Here are the key events shaping the crypto news agenda today:
1. Inflation shock and “Red October”
The seasonal rally slowed after the release of fresh US Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) reports. Inflation readings came in above analysts’ forecasts (CPI rose 3.7%), immediately strengthening expectations of another interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve (Fed) at its upcoming meeting on October 27–28.
Against this backdrop, a massive wave of margin liquidations hit the market, with nearly $1 billion worth of traders’ positions forcibly closed in a single day. Bitcoin briefly fell below $80,000, but buyers quickly bought the dip, bringing the asset back to current levels.
2. Ethereum struggles amid community optimism
Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is going through a difficult period and trading around $2,400 – $2,480. The coin has lost about 10% of its value since the start of October, while US spot Ether ETFs have seen net outflows of more than $300 million.
Surprisingly, on-chain analysts at Santiment are recording unusually high bullish sentiment on social media: almost 59% of mentions of ETH remain positive. Experts warn that such blind crowd optimism during a downturn often signals that “panic selling” is not over yet, and the asset could set new local lows. Nevertheless, long-term forecasts from major players such as Arthur Hayes remain ambitious — up to $10,000 per ETH by the end of the cycle.
3. Institutional breakthrough: Deutsche Bank enters the arena
While retail traders debate charts, traditional financial giants continue to build infrastructure. Deutsche Bank is reportedly just weeks away from launching its own digital asset custody service in Germany.
The head of corporate banking at Germany’s largest lender, Gerald Podobnik, confirmed that after launching in Europe, the platform will quickly expand into Asian financial centers. This is a crucial signal that major European capital is no longer afraid of volatility and is preparing to fully embrace the Web3 industry.
4. Tokenization and new laws: crypto instead of a mortgage?
The world of cryptocurrency regulation and real-world applications is changing before our eyes:
• Crypto mortgages in the US: Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William J. Pulte has instructed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to develop mechanisms for considering cryptocurrency assets when assessing borrowers for mortgages. Major players such as Better and Coinbase are already testing the first mortgage products backed by digital coins.
• Global stablecoin: Samsung Corporation announced that it will integrate cross-border USDC stablecoin transfers directly into Samsung Wallet for 82 million Galaxy devices worldwide, starting at the end of October.
• Regulation in Russia: We remind you that new legislation recognizing cryptocurrency as property has come into force in Russia. At the same time, according to clarifications from the Central Bank, the regulator is laying the groundwork for a ban on direct P2P transactions between individuals, which is planned to be fully introduced by summer 2027.
Bottom line: The market is in an accumulation phase and heavily dependent on the US macroeconomic backdrop. Speculative fervor has eased somewhat, but fundamental developments — from the arrival of European banks to crypto’s integration into the real economy and real estate — prove that digital assets have become firmly established in the global financial system.

Bitcoin has spent the past week caught between two forces: a stubborn inflation picture and a Federal Reserve that is not yet ready to say it is finished. The latest data has pushed BTC back toward the lower part of its recent range, and the reaction to the inflation reports and Kevin Warsh's comments at the IMF meeting in Bangkok tells us a lot about where the market's mind is right now. My view is that this is not a market that has broken down, but it is a market that is asking for confirmation before it commits to the next big move. Let me explain why I think

Look at what I said early this morning, guys: the rebound to around 19 had little liquidity, and with the bearish CPI news and delayed weekend rebalancing, I felt a dump was coming, so I closed my long immediately. Very satisfied with that move 🤣 But I didn’t open any positions afterward; you have to stay flat when you go to sleep 😂
