A 14% drop gets people shouting “crash” or “buy the dip” within seconds. I’d rather do an autopsy of the candle first. Here are five clues from my daily chart, and then what I’d actually do.
The numbers behind the headline
The 24h high was 1,292 and the low was 1,113, a drop of about 13.9%. Price is now about 1,224, so it has bounced exactly 10% off the low and sits about 5% under the high. Zoom out and the picture changes: ZEC rallied from about 467 to a high near 1,696, which is more than 3.6 times, and it’s now about 28% below that top. So this is a big pullback
